I had my eyes checked and was fitted for my glasses, by Ms. Joyce Thomas (the manager, didn't know it at the time), she was so patient with me. She never once appeared as if she would be glad when I find a pair. [ must have tried on about fifteen (15 ) with her help, anothet staff and patient ] I found the one.
Then when it came to the bill with all my questions about this, that and why not. She sat there and answer ever question so professional and with a smile, never in a hurry. Not that was good customer service.
Now when I went to pick up the glasses, I had eye surgery on my left eye, and I couldn't see out of the glasses, Ms . Thomas, said don't worry just wait til your eye heals and come back. Well two (2) months later I returned and I had surgery on the other eye. Again I couldn't see with the glasses I had chosen, . a Ms. Thomas stated, "why don't you have the doctor that did your surgery give you a prescription for the type of glasses you need, then you will not have this problem.
I did just that, gave her the prescription, but then she was unable then to locate the glasses, I had paid for. She said not to worry, but give me time to loceted them snd I will make sure they're right when you come back" She was true to her word, when I got the call I received my glasses.
All was well for about two (2) weeks then, the screw came out. I contacted Ms. Thomas well I could hear/see that she was not very happy about it. However, she was not going to give up, you see the style I had they didn't make any more so we had to find another pair and we did for the same price.
Today I can see with my new glasses and I am so, so happy with them. I would never go anywhere else to get glasses. I strongly recommend that everyone go to Henry Ford hospital OptimEyes Detroit main campus. The staff is great, best customer service ever. I saw and heard how other staff treated the people that came in for service, they were friendly but professional at all times.
However, Ms. Joyce Thomas, stand out above them all, reason as much as she did for me, she has excellence customer service skills and goes above and beyond the call of duty. I feel that I would have met her with all of my issues I had, the other staff, probably would have referred me to her.

Read moreVery disappointed ! I ordered my first pair of glasses in March of this year from Henry Ford optical . Waited for over a month to receive them, just to find out they were shipped to another store and given to someone with my first name. Back and forth back and forth for two weeks after that ( finally ) got my caviar glasses ! Guess what ! I had to then turn them back in ( the frame was fading and it was discontinued ) 🤦🏽♀️ Each time I called I was lied to and strung along ! So, I spoke with the manager ( not naming ) she has did her best to accommodate . So, here we are up to date ! Picked up replacement glasses yesterday and … yep they’re wrong ! I paid almost a grand for these glasses and !! I put them on while there , I’m like great ! SIGH OF RELIEF …. Well, ran an errand at night and the glasses has a defect in the lenses 😡, I look up at the street lights at night and all I see is green reflections everywhere ! Driving is terrible ! The on coming traffic lights are 3 different colors ! Called the office today and I spoke to a very rude individual VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ! I had to hang up because I didn’t want to be rude myself ! All I want is a pair of glasses for the price I paid for !!!! Now we’re in the month of July by one day off ! I will never recommend, ever !!!!!!!!!!!! Do better please. ! Now I have to wait until the manager comes off vacation after the holiday just so someone can even begin to fix the problem.

From the appointment setting process with K’loni who went above and beyond to ensure my insurance information was accurate, to her warm smile and welcome today when I came for my annual. Everyone I interacted with was engaging, beautiful smiles and energy, Alissia made sure I was comfy during that eye blowing test that makes me so anxious, she made me laugh and even explained it to me. I remember Ken, who was so calming and comfortable, kept a smile, and prepared me for my eye exam with Nicole today. Nicole was great as well, very informative and helped me understand what was happening with my eyes and the options I have. Now Anthony and I had a ball! I tried on glasses it felt like a fashion show but what was also so kindred is that he chose a pair of glasses for me that I had a picture of in my phone on a whim. They were my top choice and of course I got them. Anthony’s customer service, patience, attentiveness and understanding was amazing and sealed the deal for me to be comfortable enough to walk out with four pairs of glasses today. I also really appreciate the supervisor Tracie for her input as well and making sure my process went smoothly.
