We go to the Eastern Market at least once a year. We drive from Lansing to check out the vendors and farmers market. This yr we went Labor Day weekend took our son and his wife for the first time. We enjoyed the food vendors. We enjoyed some delicious Thai, and Korean food. The Bao pork belly buns were delicious. Our kids got the Korean corn dogs and they loved them. Got some good produce. Lots of variety of goods, produce, and food.

For those of you visiting downtown Detroit the Eastern Market with its five sheds is a great way to spend a Saturday morning. There are vendors of not only local produce and manufactured goods but also taste of Michigan. The only negatives are the difficulty in finding parking and if you don't like crowds but if you can put up meeting some kind and friendly Neighbors and don't mind spending a few minutes looking for a spot, visit this unique Touch of Detroit. The hipsters, families and professionals that frequently visit this area always conduct themselves well. It's right across from a chase ATM and police are normally near by to keep your mind at ease.
