Our visit to Downtown Doral was a delightful blend of culture, community, and cuisine. The area is beautifully designed with a mix of modern architecture and lush green spaces, making it a pleasure to walk around. The streets are clean, and there's a palpable energy that comes from the mix of locals and visitors enjoying the various amenities.
We started our day with a stroll through the Paseo, the pedestrian-friendly main street, which is lined with shops, cafes, and art installations. The atmosphere was lively, and we loved the fact that there were plenty of outdoor seating areas to just sit and soak in the surroundings. The public art scattered throughout the area added a unique touch, giving the space a creative and vibrant feel.
One of the highlights of our visit was the food. Downtown Doral has a fantastic array of dining options, and we were spoiled for choice. We ended up choosing a local restaurant that offered a mix of Latin American and international cuisine. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It's clear that the area prides itself on offering high-quality dining experiences.
After lunch, we explored some of the local shops and boutiques. The retail options are diverse, ranging from high-end fashion to quirky, independent stores. We appreciated the variety and found a few unique items to take home as souvenirs.
Another aspect we loved was the community vibe. We noticed several families enjoying the parks and open spaces, and there were even some live music performances happening in the plaza. It's a place that feels very much alive and welcoming to all age groups.
Overall, our visit to Downtown Doral was an enjoyable and memorable experience. Whether you're looking for a great meal, some shopping, or just a pleasant place to spend an afternoon, Downtown Doral offers something for everyone. We can't wait to return and explore more of what this vibrant area...
Read moreOn Sunday, I had a meeting with some people from NY. They were staying nearby, so I recommended Bulla Gastrobar in downtown Doral. The place is always busy most of the time, and today was a bit packed. We sat at a corner table next to the kitchen, a booth just fine. The waitress came right away and gave us menus and asked us for water préférence. My guests were not familiar with the menu requested I ordered , I ordered tapas for us to share. Montaditos dry no flavor Serrano shaved so thin that I am not sure that it was? Mahon cheese, which I am still looking for, never made it. Pan de cristal with Serrano no Serrano and not as good as usual. The main entrée my two guests, opted for paella, looked ok? The rice was spanish rice, but the broth lacked a bit of finishing flavors. I ordered the octopus salad. Should I say the cucumbers' tomato croutons all laced with a well executed vinaigrette , but the octopus was almost inexistant, 30 dollars for a fatoush salad hummmm??? . Someone is making money! I have returned to Bulla several times, and the staff is good, but the food is ok, not like it used to be. I forgot when I checked my receipt. I was given someone else. I am going back today to get a copy. Just for that, I think I will skip Bulla for a while. It seems that it has been the case for many restaurants' prices are through the roof, but the food doesn't improve. Sorry to be so blunt, but I wish I could have given you a better review of our experience, but life is short, and the time and places you spend should be the best you can...
Read moreI do not recommend visiting this shopping center. They will send you a bill in the mail for $85 for parking that you cannot prove you paid for because you cannot go back and access registration for the day in question. Even worse, if you don’t receive the notice within the 14 days like I did, you will have to pay $100. It’s terrible that they are doing this. I will no longer visit here and will be very vocal with everyone I know so they are also aware. I have no problems paying for parking but if you are going to charge, you should put the systems in place to ensure those visiting are not ripped off. Visit Doral City Place instead. At least there you will be provided with a parking ticket and can pay accordingly...
