The brunch special being offered at Negroni in Doral is a stellar deal. The variety and the quality of the foods being offered for it also add to the value. I came with two friends on what looked to be a very busy day for them. We did have reservations but were made to make them apart. We were 3 and we had to make reservations separately. And we prayed when we got there they could accommodate us. And they did but at the bar. Which we welcomed because at least the drinks would be quick. To be honest the service at the bar could have been better. Although, the bartenders were friendly. They really only attended to you if you called them. So no refills on water unless you waved them down and asked for it.
The buffet was solid. A carving station with beef and sausage, a sushi area that was replenished rapidly. The hot food was ok. My favorite was the chaufa. There were plenty of desserts and every time they brought to fill it up again they seemed to add something new. I also really liked that they were bite sized.
The all-you can drink Aperol spritz's was also a very good value. Especially, considering if you want to order one drink it's $15 for $10 more, you can get bottomless. The only thing I didn't like is that you couldn't mix and match with the options they had for bottomless: mimosas, Prosecco, and Aperol spritz's. I did enjoy the DJ and the vibe. But I will say if you sit at the bar it is very loud, so if you're not into that might want to ask for a table...
Read moreAmazing amazing amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, the place is gorgeous, inviting, and modern. Camila was our server and Raul our bar tender and they made this a phenomenal first impression. This was our first time here and all I can say is that this surpassed all my expectations BY FAR! The drinks were so incredibly good. The food was amazing, and if you can believe It, the service and hospitality was like no other. We started our night with a Negroni Sour. Then I had the classic, carnaval and the cacao old fashioned. Each could stand on its own. The carnaval was an explosion of flavor and the cacao old fashioned was so good. I will definitely come back and just sit at the bar as long as Raul is there. For the food, Camila recommended the carpaccio with the house bread and truffle butter. What an amazing combination. This is the appetizer to get. But since it was a few of us, we also had the gyozas, also a 10 out of 10! And the tuna crispy rice... wow, amazing! Then we ventured into entrees and we had the dragon roll, amazing. Ceviche which was so good and big enough to share or have as a meal. And the highlight of the night for me was the short ribs ravioli with ricotta...I'm telling you, I'm coming back just for this... amazing!
Seriously if you are in the area, you must come here and if possible, ask for Camila... tell...
Read moreThis place had a lot of expectations replacing Dragonfly but tonight I understood that Dragonfly cannot be replaced.
Food: we ordered the sushi as this was the cuisine that was mostly advertised while they were in construction, and unfortunately it wasn’t the best. The menu had too many things, so I didn’t understand their cuisine? What place has Sushi on one side of the menu and then chicken parm, Steak and Lasagna on the other? Overall sushi was just ok.
Service: our waitress was awesome, I think the highlight of the night, she helped us navigate through the menu and very knowledgeable. The managers (the guys in white shirts) welcomed some and other not really or at all. Unfortunately, It just felt like a weird clicky vibe. I guess that’s Miami for you.
Atmosphere: Music was a bit loud, if you are to come have dinner during weekend just sit outside, it is a better vibe.
Overall I would rate this place a 5 of 10. Feels like they are trying too hard with no identity. Can’t quite point out what they are trying to do here? Are they an Italian restaurant or perhaps a Japanese spot? I’ll come back to try their Italian side of the menu and maybe another time to try their Argentinian side of the...
