I need to start with our waiter/host. He (in pic) was the absolute best! Now, on to the spa itself...it was a bit disappointing from beginning to end.
I made a reservation for my two daughters, 2 sisters, and myself for Motherâs Day, with Samantha.
The day before my appointment, I noticed that we never got a confirmation email, call, or text, I thought it was strange.
I called, and I was told that we all should have gotten an email the day I made the appointments. We did not. Rosa sent them a,d we all confirmed.
Upon checking in at the desk, we were asked to pay for our services. In all the spas, in all the cities that I have been to, on different levels, I have NEVER been asked to pay for a service in advance. Is this your standard practice? When I asked if I could pay at the end, I was told by the woman that we could, but if anyone left without paying, MY card would be charged (I made the reservation). Who would leave without paying? Why was that assumed? It was highly degrading,to say the least!
I got to the spa and the waiting area on time, but I was greeted by Noel late. By the time we got to the room, and he left to allow me to change, it was 11:08. We started the massage sometime around 11:12 or so.
My massage was nice, but it seemed short. When I looked at my phone, only 38 minutes had gone by! I told Noel, the therapist. He stated that it wasnât his fault. "They overbooked," and there was nothing he could do but mention it to the front desk. Despite the time, Noel was very good.
A few minutes or so after Noel left, Anna entered for my facial. She was AMAZING!
I then went to meet the others in the lounge area for our champagne. We were handed our glasses but no chocolate, we had to ask for some reason. I noticed that EVERYONE else had their chocolates brought to them on a tray with beautiful orchids.  My sister was given 5 chocolates to hand out to our party.
We then enjoyed our time taking advantage of the various amenities the spa offered.
When it was time for lunch, we decided to keep it casual and eat at the pool. Our server, Alfonso, my receipt says Alex, I called and was told it was Alfonso when I asked for the older Hispanic gentleman who has been there a long time. I just remember his name started with an A. He was personable, accommodating, and attentive! You can tell that he loves people and his job!
Now, there was a gentleman who brought our food to us on a tray and left it on the lounge chair. He did NOT disburse our food to us individually. This was extremely strange and upsetting.
VERY IMPORTANT: I think the staff should mention that if you are thying hundreds of dollars for a service, you should book your service later in the afternoon, should you wish to use the amenities. It didnât dawn on me at all until I got there.
The $24.75 discount was not sufficient, neither was charging me full price for the add-on of the deep tissue that I did not fully benefit from.
I would like a member of upper management to contact me regarding a more suitable and respectful compensation.
I almost forgot. The âgiftâ that we were supposed to get at checkout, we did not. We had to go back and ask...
Read moreI usually try to post only positive reviews. As a business owner I understand the consequences of receiving a bad review, not only for the business itself but also for the employees who make a living from it. However I would like to share my experience at this spa so that people consider it before booking a service there.
I went today with my sister for a full body massage. When we checked in they made us pay a 20% gratuity in advance, which we found strange. Then a lady guided us to the spa to show us the amenities and then we received the massage (which I have to say it was very good. Only because of this Iâm giving this review two stars and not less).
We noticed a little bit of mess throughout the spa, which is something they have to improve.
The package we bought included a glass of champagne. When I asked the lady at the spa she told me to go down to the frontdesk. When we went to the frontdesk the girl told us with an attitude) that I should have asked for it at the spa. She made a call and told us to go back to the spa. When we asked again at the spa the lady there told us they ran out of champagne. We went one more time down to the frontdesk to ask directions to get to the pool, and mentioned to the receptionist they didnât have champagne at the spa, she said: âoh yesâ, and didnât offer us an apology o another option of beverage.
Hopefully the manager of this spa will read this review and improve the customer service of their staff (by giving them more training or recruiting people with the right...
Read moreI have been coming here for years and last weekend was not a good experience. We had issues with reservations before we even arrived there. They messed up on our reservation times or would forget to place a service. It was a pain because when we would reserve the confirmation it would be something different than was discussed over the phone. Then when we got there they pre-charged us for regular massages and facials instead of the spa month prices. The topper is I never got my massage because the masseuse had an emergency. I was very understanding because I was told they had voided my services, however on Monday I looked at my account and the charges had gone through. I have been trying to contact them and they say they will call me back, but I have yet to hear from someone. I contacted my bank and they told me that if they had submitted a refund it should have already shown on their end. It is terrible that after they cancelled on me, I'm the one after them for my money back. I gave it two stars, because I did get my facial and enjoyed it. I also think the lady from the front desk was very nice and apologetic about the situation, which is why I was fine with what she told me. But now I am just frustrated with the whole situation and don't plan on going back. I'm going to need a massage...
