Butchered haircut by Marlon M. I brought in 11 different pictures of low fade haircuts with my same type of hair that I wanted and spent 15+ minutes explaining to Marlon exactly what I wanted and specifically what NOT to do that other barbers have been doing and messing up my hair. He said he understood and repeated what I was saying then once he turned me back to the mirror after the haircut i saw that he did EXACTLY what I told him NOT to do and gave me a medium/ high fade getting rid of all the length/ volume that I’ve been growing out on the sides for months. So I proceeded to tell him that he did what I specifically told him NOT to do and re-showed him the photos and he told me and I state verbatim “I’m ashamed” because he realized that what I spent 15 minutes telling him before we started and showing him the pictures before the haircut of what I wanted that he didn’t listen and what he gave me wasn’t at all what I told or showed him and he clearly knew it. Especially after telling him I had an event for Versace that evening, a photoshoot the next day and interview/ pictures for a magazine that’s doing an article on me the following week. So I needed him to be on point and really understand/ do what I wanted. He said he could and proceeded to butcher my hair. I didn’t flip out or raise my voice. I kept the discussion quiet and only between us to not cause a scene. Then still proceeded to charge me the $36 for the haircut. That’s just messed up after hearing me state how upset I was along with him saying he was “ashamed” yet apparently not ashamed enough to not charge me. He had also followed me for over a year on IG then proceeded to block me the disrespect and immaturity I won’t tolerate especially when I didn’t publicly blast him or the shop afterwards but now after seeing him handle the situation so poorly and the amount of unprofessionalism from the shop by not reaching out/ responding to the message i sent them directly. Read moreWhat a horrible experience! Visiting Miami and called on Thanksgiving Day to see if they were open and that if I need to schedule appointment. I was told that no appointment is required and that walk ins are welcome. Drove to the location and was advised that there is one person ahead of me to which I said Ok and say down to wait. This is after I told the girl that I have no preference on which barber should cut my hair. One of the lady at the front desk counter with the girl looked at us and walked out and started having chat with another person. I did not know at that time that she was a hair stylist. Two people came after me and they went ahead of me to get the service to which I was told that they already had an appointment. At this time I am thinking why I was told not to get an appointment and then secondly how come two people moved ahead of me when the girl at the counter said one. The nail in the coffin came was the lady who went outside came in with another customer and started ahead of me. This lady would have been done by the time her scheduled customer came in. When I inquired the girl at the front desk as to what's happeing?....she got all defensive and started with a condensccending tone and started moving her hand and fingers. Read moreI’ve been a regular at this place for 4 years now, thanks to amazing services by multiple professional barbers over the years. And currently, Jose Zayas is my go to as he is awesome in terms of customer service.
AND ONE TIME, i chose to get services from someone else as Jose was not available and this guy Christian Montes De Oca and it was one of my worst experiences that is making me rethink of ever going back to this place. I was late, but informed ahead of time and made sure he is ok with it. Instead was used as a excuse to not do services i booked, on top of it his discomfort to do anything other than his comfort on the styling of my hair, bear was very evident. When i stressed him to do what i want within the scope of scheduled service, he wasnt comfortable and showed his discomfort by continuously hurting me. When i voiced out, he smirked saying “really this is hurting you” and kept doing more. And i tried compromising to just get through the appointment, but at the end he denied to complete my service and i had to voice out, confront him and walk away while he was still in deniable.
I would have really appreciated had he “denied service” and not done anything i would have gladly re-scheduled, than harrassing me and make me go through this unecessary pain for whatever his...
