PREJUDICE AGAINST BLACK PEOPLE HERE
INITIAL OBSERVATION:
I have been here a total of 3 times. Each time I come, they never say hello or how can we help you upon walking in. So I always just sit and wait my turn for a hair cut. The first two times I have waited about an hour to get a hair cut although there was only about 2 other customers ahead of me and there are only two barbers most of the time.
The third time I did not even get a haircut and ended up walking out after waiting for 30mins.
I walked in and there were 3 barbers there and only one person waiting. I was confident that I would. It have to wait an hour this time. There was only two barbers cutting and one had just finished so I sat and waited because I thought someone was going to call me up soon. After waiting, another barber had finished. The other customer that was waiting had an errand to run so now I was the only one waiting. Of course no one said anything to me.
I waited for another 10minutes while bothe of the available barbers just sat in the chairs at the back of the barbershop. So I finally get up and walk to them to ask if I can get a haircut now. They looked at me as if they could not understand. Then one says "I'm tired bro." This was the first word they spoke to me since I had there.
Stunned, I then turn to the other available barber to ask if I can get a cut and says he is about to take lunch.
I was stunned at the horrible service and it confirmed my original perceptions upon my first and second visits.
I thought it was just a language barrier but they did not know that I understand Spanish and heard the level of disrespect they were plotting.
QUALITY OF SERVICE:
They are decent at cutting hair but they are extremely rude to you if you are not Dominican or Hispanic. I have tried to be overly nice and warm in communicating with them but every time I walk in it was like thy were treating me as if I did. It belong and was not welcome there.
I recommend they practice better customer service for all customers there. And I recommended not talking about people when you do not know what language they speak or...
Read moreI Went to this place because they seemed to be doing better with their ratings over the few months. The person that took care of me was extremely unprofessional and did not make me feel welcomed. He wanted to go straight into cutting my hair without asking me what I wanted to get done (In other words he forgot I was the client). Additionally when I gave him instructions on what I wanted done he did not follow them. Cut my hair with disregard pulling my hair. Not interested in how I felt he was just cutting hair to cut hair. When it came to charging he did not honor the $15 they announced in their price. He charged me 33.33% more than he was supposed to for a simple poorly done hair cut. Please stay away if you can. Until they address this thing. I don't think i...
Read moreI moved to ATL from Jersey in January and had given a highly rated barbershop in Dunwoody three tries before coming to Dominican Flow. That barbershop was more expensive and messed up my hair twice where it just would not lay correctly and looked off.
My Jersey barber was Dominican so I looked into ones in the Dunwoody area. Based on the reviews here, I booked a haircut and beard trim with Estarley. He was super nice and helped fix up the hack job from the "master barber" at the previous place. No delay at my designated appointment time, precise cut and fade, excellent blending of the beard. Will definitely...
