I have been bringing our daycare children to the 11:00am movies all summer. Coming in at 10:15/10:30 so that we can potty them and get their snacks ready. Had a great experience. Until the last 2 visits. We arrived on July 16th at the same time we always do and the door was locked. Not only were we here waiting but there was also another school who was also confused. I knocked and no one would come to the door even though it was at this point 10:30 and our movie started at 11:00. Eventually someone came and unlocked the door. They explained that they did not open until 10:30. Which had not been the case thus far. We ended up getting inside and watching movie. Everything was ok. This week, today July 23, I show up at 10:20 and get out to go wait until 10:30 for them to open and the gentleman that was letting an employee in tells me by yelling across the parking lot that they did not open for an hour. I said “since when because y’all have been opening at 10/10:30 all summer”. He says “i don’t know what you’re talking about must be amc 12” and closed and locks the door. I have all receipts from our past movies to prove that it was at 11:00am. I was trying to ask what time the movie starts but he had already closed the door as I was speaking to him. He was EXTREMELY rude. I’m not sure of his name but I wish I did do that I could let you know that you need someone with much better customer service working in your theater. There is currently a woman standing here talking to me who is asking about the same thing and curious why all of a sudden they aren’t opening until 11:30 and showtimes have changed to 12:00. We have had a great experience all summer until the last 2 weeks with this new manager or whomever he is. It’s really sad because our students look forward to movie...
Read moreI used to love to take my kids to this theater. It is smaller and not as crowded. But we went this past weekend and it was absolutely ridiculous. Since they switched from Carmike to AMC they have a different rewards program. If you have a "paid" membership you get priority over everyone else. I get that, but there is also zero confirmation of said membership and I am certain some people go thought that line just to be served ahead of everyone. We were there for a 12:30 showing on Saturday, it was not that busy, but we waited almost 20 minutes as the "next" in line for refreshments because all registers served Premium guests first. As you can imagine with two younger children and a very impatient husband, this didn't go over too well. I can see having specific registers dedicated to the "paid" members, but seriously, we shouldn't have to wait 20 minutes for another person to finally open another register for the "common" folks. I already pay outrageous ticket and refreshment prices, now I also am expected to pay just to be able to get them too? The theater is 45 minutes from our house, we don't go often enough to pay more just to be able to buy your tickets. That is ridiculous. They certainly need a new system. I cant imagine what it would be like on a busy Saturday night! Not to mention between the 4 lines they have and the soda machines right next to the lines, it is very disorganized and to be quite honest, this experience has made me not want to go back to this theater anymore. I much rather for to the AMC Pavillion 12. Much more organized and...
Read moreIf could rate a zero i definitely would. Right off the rip the front concession desk staff were rude. Being short, acting like it's a complete hassle to answer the questions about what they have, because honestly everything looks empty. Not like they should be in a hurry with only nine customers in the lobby. After being treated like we were interrupting their social hour, we made our way to the auditorium. More like the oven. They didn't prepare at all. It feels like a hundred degrees. That's exactly what I wanted, to be treated like garbage, and sit miserably through a movie after spending an ungodly amount of money on cheap candy and stale popcorn. Next time we will do like the rest of the world and rent it online to watch at home. Ridiculous.
Update* we let the manager know about all the problems and he was very apologetic. Probably the only one that actually cared to treat customers with respect. He filled us in that the ac is broken and corporate refuses him the right to let customers know. Corporate refuses to let him close that auditorium and still take people's money knowing they will be miserable. Absolutely insane. Shame on the money hungry business men and women behind this...
