My mother and i normally absolutely LOVE this particular starbucks in Dothan and we come at least once a week. Today was our first ever bad experience. We pull up to the speaker, and begin ordering. Right off the bat, the employee was putting everything on the screen wrong (ex: sizes incorrect, hot and cold incorrect, toppings incorrect). We finally reach a point where we got the screen looking right, and we pull up to the window. Weāre immediately handed an incorrect large hot drink when we ordered a large cold. We explain we ordered this coffee as a large iced, and they said no problem we will fix it. Well, they come back with a medium iced coffee. At this point, we are so frustrated we just accept the coffee as is without getting our large instead of a medium. We ordered 2 pastries as well and we were handed the coffee and told have a good day without getting our pastries. So again, we had to explain we ordered 2 pastries as well. They come back with the pastries and we asked for some napkins and straws. We were handed a bag, not napkins nor a straw, for whatever reason and then again told to have a good day and the window was closed on us. After tasting my coffee, it was brought to my attention i had clear/white sharp (plastic?) hard pieces in both of my coffees that were in no way shape or form edible. Mind you, this was a caramel brĆ»lĆ©e latte and i understand it has brĆ»lĆ©e toppings, but these were not able to be chewed and cut my gum. Not sure what was...

Every order in front of us was large, the lady in front of us literally got handed 6 bakery items on top of drinks. The large orders need to be moved inside or as curbside.. something needs to change. I tried to talk to management and it was āweāre just slammed, sorry about thatā no empathy, no care or how inconsiderate it is to be in that situation. While inside wasnāt busy when I entered the line or left it. Large orders should not be allowed in the drive thru, point blank. 30 mins for 3 drinks is ridiculous! I ordered ahead so by the time I even got to the window drinks were watered down and no good, but we didnāt have time to wait another 10-15 to have them to be remade. Wasted $23.. and 30 mins that cost us to be late for an apt that we had plenty of time to get to before stopping at this location. I personally worked at Starbucks for 5 years prior to my career. That being said, worst experience I have ever had!!! Whoever stocked for the shift on 03/27/2021 around 6pm really should be replaced for lack of effort. I asked for a tomato and mozzarella sandwich, then a turkey and pesto sandwich, then a ham and Swiss croissant, then chocolate madelines. All of these things were unavailable. Then I asked for two cake pops and was only given one. Iām not even sure if I was charged because I refused the receipt trusting the cashier, against my better judgment. Knowing how Starbucks works, I know that you are suppose to replace items as they are sold so that they are available for the next person who asks.
