Dont ever get personal training at LA Fitness especially if you already have an injury. All they want is your money they could careless about you as a person. If you end up injured you are on your own since you sign a waiver that is in the contract. They will not care if you are put off work and are immobile all they want is your money. And with all honesty the whole point of personal training is for the trainer to help you with the exercises so that you will not get hurt. My advice just do your own workouts and take the classes offered there is no point in wasting your money on personal training. In all my years I had never had an issue been a member for years doing training on and off, after specifically telling the trainer I was an unsure about an exercise because I have a bad knee he still had me do those jumps. Well I ended up breaking my foot and they still have the audacity to charge me for the following sessions. As if I am going to trust another trainer. I find it funny how none of them got back to me right away but you miss one payment and your phone is bombared by all these calls. It took me 2 days to get a hold of someone and that was because I went off at the person who answered the phone. So I can not stress it enough really think about it when you decide to do the personal training not everyone has the knowledge or know the proper modifications to make sure that you are completely safe and will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just joined in late January , was very happy because i t is very close to my home. The equipment is very nice and overall the gym is very clean. When Faviola helped me with my new membership she notified me of the initiation fee of the $100.00 , and of course the monthly fees, but SHE NEVER mentioned the annual fee of $49. WHICH IS DIFFERENT FROM THE INITIATION FEES!!!!!! If she would have told me i would of shopped around for another gym, with less initiation fees. Suddenly I was surprised with the $49. fee of which i wasn't expecting. I called immediately and asked for the Manager: Stephanie, I explained the situation to her , she said she would look into it. It's been 3 weeks now and still have not heard from her. I'm very disappointed , I want to cancel my membership, but now I have invested $150.00 into the gym. I will not be renewing at the end of the year. I believe the sales lady did not inform me of the the TOTAL, fees probably to get more members to sign up and that is very dishonest and the manager is very unprofessional as I'm still waiting for a phone call from her. Such a shame it is a very nice, and clean gym and so very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI tried to use LA Fitnessās 3-day free trial, only to be told I had to pay $20 to activate it. It felt a bit absurd ā almost contradictory ā considering a full membership is just around $30/month. It left me wondering: what exactly is āfreeā about this trial?
The experience came off as a bait and switch. If a gym markets something as a āfree trial pass,ā it should be just that ā no strings, no surprise charges. When a customer feels misled at the door, itās hard to trust anything else after that. I ended up going to 24 Hour Fitness nearby instead, where the process was more transparent and welcoming using Wellhub
LA Fitness might have nice equipment, but first impressions matter. A gym should build trust from day one, not erode it before you even step inside.
FYI, my Wellhub pass wasn't working, and I thought of using the free trial. So, coming back the next day to use the free trial with $20(one day pass) doesn't make sense right? You can read the rest of the other reviews here and decide 24 Hours...
