Disney's Character Warehouse — Attraction in Dr. Phillips

Update: We did go back in person. They did replace our missing mugs, but the experience was extremely awkward. There was no explanation for why we got hung up on several times, and there's no customer service number that easily works if there's a problem (since it's impossible to reach an associate). I am really saddened to post this review. This is not against any cast member. Let's face it. They are overworked and underpaid. This review is about the ability to contact this store. We got home from our trip to Disney and realized that the cashier forgot to put four of our items in our bag (about $30 worth). This happens a lot, especially with breakable items like mugs. The cashiers will package them, but sometimes forget to put them in the bag. We usually remind them--not a big deal. They are very busy, and many customers are impatient and unkind, unfortunately. My problem is not with the very nice, very overworked cashier. My problem is that when my husband and I tried to call the Character Warehouse (6 times), we were hung up on. $30 is not the end of the world, but we would simply like the items we paid for. However, there is no way to contact them. We have our receipt, but we don't live close by. Every business needs an efficient way to filter phone calls, even if it's a simple message that says, "Due to the high volume of people in our store, we are unable to answer your call. Please call back after 6pm when a store associate will be able to help you." We have looked online and saw that this is a consistent problem with this store. I would appreciate it if someone from the store can contact me about my four missing items. It is a simple request, and I am not trying to get anyone in trouble. Thank you...

This place is amazing, excellent items for a fraction of the price of what they would be at the parks. Jenny was amazing, she allowed us to check the droid we want to purchase before we left, and told us how to contact them if there were any issues. Riley happily checked the back for a different size. There were several other cast members that also checked the back for me or directed to me to different spots to find what I want

The biggest issue I’ve seen at the location is the number of resellers ((we visited several times because of the excellent prices during our vacation)), every time we visited regardless of the time of day there are several resellers or personal shoppers. Some of them were nice and would point out good deals but others would conduct their business live in the middle of the store making it difficult to navigate the busy store and hoard popular items. Others would get rude towards other guests who might be looking at something they wanted.

The rating I’ve given is for the staff, merchandise quality and prices. The resellers can be an issue but if you bring your patience this is an excellent place to get official merchandise for a fraction of the cost. Half of my Christmas shopping was completed here, I can’t wait to see how my nephew will enjoy his droid and my sister will enjoy her Disney eats...
