Draper Park Unity Playground — Attraction in Draper

My boyfriend and I stumbled on this park one night after having dinner. We had an hour to kill before our next destination for the night. Upon pulling into the parking lot, we saw what looked to be a very large slide. Naturally, our competitive side came out and we dared each other to race to the top and see who can go down the slide first. That was when we discovered how wrong and how right we were. This park boasts 3 massive slides, one of them 3 stories tall. Climbing to the top, we found ourselves out of breath. This appeared to be more of a military training obstacle course than a children’s park. Once at the top, we could see just how steep this slide really was. After spending 8 minutes working up the courage to go down the slide and debating who would make the plunge first, I decided I was going to be brave and go first. The slide started out very fun. I recall having a moment of thinking “wow this is a blast” but as I quickly picked up speed, I soon realized I didn’t know how I was going to stop myself at the bottom. I shot out the end of the slide like a rock being catapulted from a sling shot, landing on my back about ten feet from the exit of the slide. Not only was my pride hurt, as I heard my boyfriend overhead laughing hysterically, but my butt and my hands hurt from catching myself on the rubber flooring below. How is this park for children?! The park itself is very spacious & fun for kids of all abilities. The bathrooms are absolutely DISGUSTING; they are by far the worst public bathrooms I've ever seen that includes outhouses/porta potties, the woods lol. Poop/pee on the floors, walls, ceilings, toilet seats etc. Mountains of fecal paper on the floors so you can't even hover Squat without it getting on your shoes... Make sure you go before or...
