Close to the worst possible computer purchasing experience one could imagine. There is consistent miscommunication between Best Buy, Geek Squad, their Sales and Service. Geek squad online is actually pretty good, they work to resolve any issues you might have but are obviously limited being remote. For the most part, I'd recommend their online services. The major issue is Geek Squad in the Duluth, MN location. I understand customers today can be difficult and staff need to have some level of resistance but these guys take it to a whole new level. Even when they screw up multiple times, they're going to speak to you, like you're the idiot. Duluth MN, Geek Squad is condescending and their customer service is so bad it is laughable at this point. If you live in Duluth, it might be reasonable to purchase from there because you'll be in and out multiple times over a few weeks to get your NEW computer if there are any issues with it. My new computer developed blue lines on the screen, within the 60 return window. Yet as I type this I'm 70 days past the purchase date still with blue lines on my screen and will be bringing the computer to a local repair shop to have it fixed. It is simply not worth dealing with Best Buy / Geek Squad any further. I don't do may reviews but this location deserves it. Their Baxter...
Read morePretty rough experiences with buying laptops and then needing services from Geeksquad at this location. There seems to always be some kind of software issue. Thank god that I buy the top BestBuy protection plan because I don't know how people do it... I've had to go to geeksquad to get my laptop serviced three times in the last two months and as soon as I get my computer back something else pops up. When you call Geeksquad on the phone they will tell you one thing and schedule you an appointment, but when you go in store they will say "well I didn't hear that, and I can't see the future.." Questions will be deemed as argumentative so you can't ask any questions or raise any concerns at all. I would advise people to just get the warranty their computer servicer provides. You're going to end up with a working computer that way. I Wish that is...
Read moreI decided to test my luck with an walk in appointment at the Duluth Geek Squad location. Brandon Napoi was on his lunch break but cut it short to help me troubleshoot an internet connectivity problem I was having on my Microsoft Surface. Brandon was so nice and friendly. I told him I did all the steps online recommended. He wanted to try them just incase and when he ran into the same issue he took a different approach and changed the GHz to include 2.4 band and it my computer connected to the hotspot finally! I cannot thank Brandon enough for his time and...
