Can I give these guys zero stars? Let me be the first to give you my condolences if you were referred to these guys, especially from WarranTech. Not only do these guys not know what they are doing, they'll lie about it. They'll lie to the customer, and to WarranTech. To top it off, if you got these guys because of WarranTech, you're in double trouble, because WarrenTech is almost as bad.
I had these guys come out three times to fix a Samsung Washer. The washer was either spinning too fast, or off balance, who knows. Either way, they never fixed it.
So, first it takes them weeks to respond, I had to call and harass them to come out. First guy finally shows, has no idea what he is doing, but I didn't say anything. As an engineer who does a lot of troubleshooting, you kind of get a sense for people who know how to troubleshoot, and those how barely know how to tie their shoes. Well, this guy was confused, told me he was going to order a whole bunch of parts, and would come out to install them. I thought that sounded good, maybe he'd fix it.
Weeks go by, I have to call them, they finally come out again with the parts. New guy. He puts the parts in, makes fun of pevious guy for all the stuff he orders. Washer is still broke. It's the control board he says, must be. Couple more weeks, I call them, finally same guy shows again, third time. Installs the part, still broke.
He tells me it's a manufacturing defect. OK, fine. He tells me to call Samsung. Which seems like crap, since I pay WarrenTech for the extended warranty, right? It's at this point, and I didn't know at the time, that he documents his work notes with Warrentech that he has solved the problem, and that the washer is making a slight "noise". Yeah, coming off the floor while running, ripping off pieces of plastic on the inside, kind of "noise". Same thing it was doing when I called in the first place.
I go to Samsung, I am outside of the 12 month warranty, they can't help me. This took a long time too, Samsung was equally resistant to help. I go back to Warrentech, and the HH Greg I bought it from. At this point, I am ready to just kick down doors. It's been months without this washer. I learn that Warrentech didn't want to help because supposedly the repair technicians they sent out fixed it, except for a slight noise. Read moreIf I could give this company 100 negative stars I would, but 1 star is being nice. This is a horrendous company to deal with. I simply wanted an issue to be fixed with my Samsung washing machine. Apparently Lowe's has a contract with the Tanstel Electronics and I trusted this would be a reputable vendor. I was wrong. I contacted Lowe's customer service on Wednesday (May 4, 2016) and was able to schedule a morning appointment on for Saturday (May 7, 2016). Of course there is a 4 hour window I had to wait to hear from someone. No one showed up or called me. I had to contact Lowe's to find out what was going on and why my time had been wasted. The company decided to order the part before coming to my home, but didn't inform me that my appointment would be rescheduled. Now I am force to take time off work and wait another 4 hours. The part finally comes in the following week (Tuesday May 10, 2016). I was contacted by Kim (she was nice) to find out my availability. Because the technicians are allowed to create their own schedule, she couldn't give me time (morning or afternoon) on when the technician would be available on my scheduled date. I specifically requested for the technician to call me two day before so that I could confirm a time because I am a professional working woman and have things to do. The technician NEVER responded to my request and NEVER called the day before. How and why this company is still in business is beyond me!! The manager is NEVER available. DO NOT USE THIS VENDOR!!!
UPDATE: The technician name Eric, contacted me at 6:51pm on Thursday May 12, 2016. I informed him of my frustration and asked why he did not respond to the notes Kim, the administrative assistant, left by my name. Eric said he never received any notes and Kim never contacted him. Eric also stated that Kim was lying. At this point I am even more frustrated, and asked Eric to look at the paper and tell me what the notes were by my name. Eric tells me "I don't have to deal with this bullshit" and hung the phone up in my face. He did not confirm if I still wanted the appointment or if a better time would work. Read moreThis is the worst company I have ever dealt with four technical support. I have for appliances from Lowe's that need to be looked at for the second or third or fourth repair in some cases. The original repair company was doing great but I wanted a different perspective on these machines since there were a few other things that needed to be fixed. Solos executive escalation Department made an appointment for me for 2 p.m. today. I have medical conditions that prohibit me having any appointments in the morning. Solo setup window of 12 to 4. 9 a.m. this morning the doorbell rang while I was sleeping. My daughter heard it because her room is close to the front of the house. At 9:30 there's a voice mail saying that they canceled the appointment and that I would have to call back to make another appointment. When I finally call them about 15 minutes ago at 1 p.m. they tell me a no uncertain terms that I don't get to pick my appointment time because the technician sets their own appointment times. Well first of all they violated the Americans with Disability Act for not giving me the reasonable accommodation of the 2 p.m. appointment that Lowe's set up. Second I told them that I would recommend to Lowe's that they never use this company again. When I told the phone operator this she got irate with me and went on and on about the technician and when I said I was attending the call she said very sniffly have a nice day. Other than hating when people lie to me I E make me a 2 p.m. appointment and showing up at 9 a.m. I really hate when people are sarcastic to me when they're in a customer service role. So I went online and took a look at the reviews and it seems that my experience is in line with every other customers experience that reviewed this company.
