I honestly can't believe what I am experiencing with Rooms To Go. Trevor at the store was great. He helped me in every way he could through the purchase process. That's where the good ended and the nightmare began. When the furniture was delivered every single piece was wrong! The sectional was the wrong color and the recliner they delivered was wrongand didn't even match the set we purchased. They agreed to leave the wrong pieces until we received the right ones but refused to assemble them the way my wife asked them to. I then went online to contact customer service and found that the price I was charged in the store was $400 more than if I would have purchased it online. So I went BACK to the store and again Trevor was very helpful. He agreed to issue me a credit for the price difference and scheduled the delivery service to pick up the wrong pieces and deliver the correct items. I received a call at 6:50am this morning saying they would be to the house in 15 minutes. I was on my way to work and my wife was taking the kids to school. Who does that? The dispatcher told me the truck driver would only wait 5 minutes and that they had no idea when they could reschedule delivery. I told him that I was to the point that I wanted to just return everything for a refund and HE LAUGHED AT ME and said,"Good luck with that!" I can't believe that a company as big as Rooms To Go conducts business this way. I hate being "that person" that makes a special point to give a bad review but I want to help keep someone else from having the same nightmare I am going through.*UPDATE They told me they would call back yesterday to set up a delivery time, they never called. I contacted the store manager and requested a refund and that they pick up the furniture that they delivered. He said that they don't have a return policy and that it will take at least a week for them to get back out to pick up the WRONG furniture that they delivered. My next call is going to be to the Better Business Bureau. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I just want my money back for the furniture I paid for but never received! Now they're telling me that they will give me my money back with a 20% restocking fee. THAT'S $500! I just filed a case with BBB.**It's now been 3 weeks since I bought the furniture. Read moreDO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! There is a reason that most costumers have given them one star. Awful experience! My roommate and I ordered furniture from the store three weeks ago. If we stated out loud that we liked anything, even just in passing, the sales associate said he would add it to our bill. He followed us around the whole time and tried to add on a bunch of extra pieces, no matter how many times we said no. My roommate's mother was with us while we were shopping, but left for a little while to take a phone call. During this time he tried to bombard us with as many items as he could, and it was completely obvious that he thought he could sneak things past us without her mother noticing. We are not ignorant and we were not going to buy items we did not want or need. I understand being a salesman, my dad used to own a furniture store, but this was above and beyond. It was obnoxious. While going through checkout, he tried to add on extra charges after he had promised to give us things "for free" that we didn't even ask for, including four accent pillows and a lamp. We tried to negotiate the bill for forty-five minutes with the sales associate, almost dropping the order altogether several times, before the manager came over. He was obviously not happy with the sales associate. After all was said and done, we set the delivery date for this upcoming Saturday. My roommate just called to confirm the delivery and they said it would not be arriving this Saturday. They said it could be arriving anywhere from Tuesday to Saturday of next week and the delivery could be at any time. Both of us are new teachers and we have workshops scheduled Monday-Friday. On further inspection of the bill after this issue, we realized that they did charge us for two accent pillows ($60) and there is another miscellaneous charge for $60. This is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this store to anyone. I should have listened to my dad, this place does not believe in professionalism or courtesy at all. Read moreIn March my family and I visited the Durham location to visually check on a sectional that was on sale. We were greeted at the door by the lovely Tiffany M. She helped us find the couch that was advertised and walked us around to see other sectionals that were not even on our radar. She provided quotes for those selections that we liked the most and gave us our space but was available when we needed her. We pondered over those selections but decided we were not quite ready to buy just yet. In June when we were having trouble deciding between two sectionals, we visited the Raleigh store because we happened to be in the neighborhood. We received less than great service and was even given the wrong information. We felt that it was absolutely necessary to make the trek back to Durham to experience the excellent, knowledgeable service that Tiffany provided. We asked for her by name and it was worth the wait while she finished up with another customer. She was just as patient and pleasant with us as went back and forth testing each sectional and trying to work out our pros and cons. She was equally patient on our third visit and final visit with our last minute comparison. She made sure we had full functional knowledge of our purchase and was available for any questions. Even though we had a mix up in our delivery of the correct pieces for our sectional (it was resolved in an appropriate timely manner) she kept in touch until everything was resolved.
