Westover Park — Attraction in Durham

Cute little toddler playground. As a park, there is tons of open space to play, run around, play games, or have a picnic. But the playground area is small and geared towards 4-year-olds and younger I’d say. My son enjoyed climbing on their big rock climbing boulder. He could do it himself just fine. There’s a little kids playground and the newer more modern spiderweb and tunnel pieces to climb on and crawl through. It always “looks cool” but isn’t really practical for kids to play on. Westover Park is a lovely neighborhood retreat. There are shady spots to be comfortable in as well as places with Sunshine the park backs up to the Ellerbe Creek and the Ellerbe Creek Trail. There is a lovely little playground with swings and climbing structures for young children to enjoy. They also have picnic tables and a grill. The park is wheelchair accessible, as well.
