** UPDATE, July 2024: I would be remiss if I did not post a much-deserved update! Again Consignment has improved SOOO much!!! I can only speak as a customer, not a consigner. They've clearly gotten more selective again about the items they accept. I rarely see outdated styles, damaged items with holes, stains, etc. now. There is a wide range of brands to please everyone, still offered at great (IMO) prices, all the way from Gucci to Talbots. They still offer a whole athleisure room, with brands such as Lululemon, Athleta, etc. They have a special section just for Free People and Anthropologie items, also. The layout is so much more pleasing to the eye, no longer overly-crowded. It's very easy to walk around and see what's available. Lastly, the employees I've recently encountered are WAY friendlier than before. What a difference. When you walk in, and there's a professional, friendly atmosphere, it really makes you want to stay - and spend money! (And the opposite is true - you want to leave.) Word must be getting around, because there are several customers now every time I go in during the week, whereas before, it was consistently empty. Thank you, Again Consignment, for valuing us as your customers, we see the changes you've made and appreciate it! :))))
**UPDATE, July 2022: Stopped in, first time in months, place much more organized and not as overly-crowded as before, items looked in much better condition. Did find one item that I'm very happy with that I purchased this time. Unfortunately, the unfriendliness of the two young high-school aged girls working left a bad taste in my mouth: no greeting, no offers to start a room for you, didn't look up from their phones, etc. Place was completely empty of customers. Sad, used to be one of my favorite things to do and take visitors to, but probably not anymore.
I've loved coming here for years, but sadly, have to agree with other reviews that things have noticeably slipped in recent months. It used to be a well-curated store (lots of Anthropologie, Free People, higher end brands, etc.) but now it seems they accept anything and everything (outdated, lower quality items from Old Navy, Gap, etc.). Are the young girls working too afraid to say no to what's brought in? Even when there's a sale, I can't find anything. It's like Again Consignment is going through an identity crisis, trying to be something for everyone, yet in the process has lost what used to make it special. Hopefully they'll be more particular about what they accept, and it will return to being the best consignment shop around like...
Read moreI should’ve never sold with these people in the first place. Brought in a bunch of nice bags, 1 Kate Spade, 2 Fossil, and 2 Michael Kors. I told them I’m moving away and they said that’s no problem. Everything will be handled through email or calls and they’ll communicate with me. Never heard anything back from them. Tried to call their number several times never went through left voicemails.. nothing. Went back in finally after months of being gone and only sold two purses a fossil and a Kate Spade and earned $20 for that. Mind you, the Michael Kors purses were still on the floor being sold for 40+. Money which I will not receive since it’s after 30 days and I am not allowed to have the bags back (assuming so since it was not offered.) My fault for selling with them in the first place and not truly understanding consignment. I would have been better off selling on my own or at Plato’s Closest. Manager was nice (she didn’t want me to make a scene) but that is utterly ridiculous and robbery. Lesson learned, DO NOT...
Read moreI came in for the second time today to try to consign clothing. Both times I hauled in my heavy bin from down the street, since there is no parking only to be told that they didn't have any more room for clothing to be accepted (after first checking the website that said they were accepting consignment). I tried to prevent this from happening by calling, but nobody EVER answers to the phone (which is why I checked the website). When I was in the store, I inquired about why nobody answers the phone, The very rude, unprofessional, red headed lady said that they don't have one because they would get sick and tired of people calling to inquire whether their bins are full or not. Apparently they are not about providing customer service. Not what this place used to be. I don't know if its new owners or if they just cant find decent help. I am done...
