Okay, bold statement coming up. Ready? Best sandwiches in America, probably the world. (if Elon Musk gets his rocket in gear, these could be the best sandwiches in the known galaxy). I know that you think that can't be true, but it is. AND, if we were in NY, London, Paris, Munich ..oh wait that's a song....well if we were in any of those places even Austin or Chicago, there would be a line out of the door and Seinfeld would make an episode on how good these sandwiches are. The good thing is that we aren't in those places, so we don't have to wait in that annoying line, instead we get the greatest sandwiches ever put in your mouth without a long line and the perils of an overpopulated urban metropolis.

Yes these sandwiches cost more than a Subway sandwich but if you want that, go eat there, but this is a great sandwich and good food costs a little more. The owner has whipped up the most tasty selection of things we all love.... slow roasted pork, spicy meats, honey ham combined with tasty cheeses and spreads that are better than any Tinder match you will ever get. The veggie sandwiches are also off the chart good, you won't even know the meat is missing. The French know food and they do a darn good sandwich, but Tasso's sandwiches are how sandwiches should be, how you need them to be. My mom and her friend went to eat lunch there last week. They were on a nice girls get -a-way, day and decided to stop for lunch. They ordered their two bagged lunches, keep in mind the place was vacant. My mom grabbed the bag assuming it held both sandwiches. Upon sitting down she realized they were missing a whole bagged lunch. So my mom went in to inform them. They whipped up a bagged lunch with little to no customer service. Then my mom realized there were missing items from the bagged lunch. She went again to inform them. They tossed her a cookie and said "sorry". Then when my mom went to pay, a screen came up regarding the tip. There were only 3 options without a skip button. So she was forced to tip $3.5 in order to finish her transaction. They didn't understand why they had to pay a tip, when the staff didn't do anything. They didn't bring anything back to them that was missing and has no empathy.

They both stated they will never go there again. They said the food was basic and they are light on the meat. They said the staff was friendly, but honestly, when they are the only customers there and they clearly ordered two bagged lunches, with the outcome of one... come in people. Holy cow, what a phenomenal spot. Working downtown everyday, I aim to be a committed brown bagger as I get burnt out on the over-hyped, over-priced lunch spots that leave little in the way of flavor, creativity, and quality. However, with Tasso, I find myself craving their food on a weekly, if not daily basis. Killer sandwiches with incredible and consistent quality, and the most reasonably priced lunch downtown. From their menu staples to their daily specials, I've never had a bad item. These guys have, easily, the best sandwiches in town beating out the best of 'em - Lemon Tree, Wylder, Txikiteo, you name it. The staff is so dang friendly which just adds to the wonderful experience. I can't say enough good things...
