You know how much it cost to be a decent person…ZERO Found myself in a pickle few days ago. Truck wdnt start, late afternoon, had 2 big photo shoots the next day starting early morning. Hubby was no where near home, he was still working. So I went to jump off my truck. Battery cables were corroted. While cleaning them off something broke off and it was loose. Panicked I called Autozone in Brownwood. Ask if they cd put new cable ends on for me and check my battery and alternator. . They said yes! I got creative and put 2 horse shoe nails in the cable to make it tight so truck wd start. Went to Autozone, got parts, ask again your going to put these in correct, response yeah yeah! Bought them and cashier handed me the bag. I said again ur going to put them on right. He stated no it’s not out policy. I reminded him and the other young man of our phone call, and our conversation a few minutes before, the fact that I was 40 miles from home, it was getting dark. Still no, not our policy. Unlike me I was in tears. Got a refund for the parts told them what I thought about their policy and went down the road to OReilly. I was still upset, I guess the day had just been to much and having to drive home in the dark with 2 nails making the battery work just became to much . The OReilly guy heard my story and said where are the parts I will put them on. So he was willing to put on another stores parts for me. I told him i gave them back so I bought parts from OReillys. Steven put them on for me in less than 10 minutes. Making sure I wd get home. I do not think the Autozone boys lied to me I just think they were not listening maybe?? But you had 2 grown young men in a store full of tools, who knew how to put the parts on and the phone call saying they wd. Those young men left me completely upset and scared that I wdnt make the drive home. This man from OReillys Steven went out of his way to help me and I am so grateful!!! We need more Steven’s in this world!! If you see Steven from OReillys in Brownwood just know he is a good man! I...
Read moreThis is the sorriest most worthless location I've been to. Nothing but meth heads, and liars. I suggest going to AutoZone, Napa, advance, or even walmart. I don't know why they hire people like this, but it makes no sense. If I owned a company, the first thing I would consider in hiring someone was wether or not they could perform the job. And second thing would be to make every customer that walked through the door feel like they are the most important person in my store and that they could fully trust me to be honest and knowledgeable in my field of work. And lastly, I absolutely hate liars and theives. I damn sure wouldn't hire one to put in front of my customers. If Oriley's manager can't hire any better than this, maybe it's time to hire...
Read moreFinally done shopping here. I’ve given them a few chances because I’ve shopped there for years but today was it for me. I was out of town and my wife had to get a new battery and was told her truck was too hard for them to replace so they wouldn’t do it. No big deal, my son was able to swap it out like any other easy battery, nothing complicated. But to add to it they wouldn’t even carry it out for her, she’s plenty capable but come on, have some decent manners. Luckily one of the customers there was raised right and offered to take it to the truck. Advance and NAPA down the road has always been good and will now get all of my business. O’Reillys really needs to look into all these bad reviews instead of posting an...
