I honestly would leave zero stars on this if I could. Today is Fri 8/22/25. I called earlier in the week and was told to come down on either Fri or Sat after 230 because the manager was the only one who was authorized to buy stuff. Ok no biggie, I went today a little before 230 and the individual working there said to call back after 230. Ok no biggie, I went grabbed something to eat and called back (2:48) asked if the manager was there yet and was told to call back in 10 to 15 minutes because the manager wasn't there. Ok.. now I'm irritated, first Im told to come down after 230 on a certain day. I do that and am told to call back, ok I'm a good sport about it so I do that. But then a 3rd time I'm told to call back. So let me ask how do they run a successful business like that?? The individual working there looked like he hasn't taken a shower in a year, he's at the register stuffing his face. And you get told to do one thing you do it just to be told 2 different things. So based on what I was told earlier in the week I wasted my time and gas as I'm not in East Hartford to go down there. Just to waste more gas coming home. The appear to have a huge inventory of stuff but if the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing how do they expect to run a successful business? Just really irritated by the fact that this place came highly recommended and when I got there I found out it was a complete waste of my time and gas. I've always said support the little guy but in this case with the type of service I got or didn't get I say don't waste your time. Find another...
Read moreI thought for sure that I was going to be in for a dull drive today as I took a lengthy trip out past East Hartford, but my interest ignited as I drove past Comics and Collectibles, and to my great surprise, it turned out to be exactly what I wanted; a spectacular collection of collectibles and Gundam models, with a decent array of comics.
I won't lie, the comics weren't my focus here -- those are easy enough to come by. The figurines, however, had an excellent assortment, ranging from Banpresto Dark Souls and (lots of) Dragonball, to articulate DC and Marvel sculptures, with Star Wars Black Series, Marvel Legends, NECA Predator, and EVERYTHING in between -- including some very obscure stuff. They have one of the best Gundam model selections I've thus far seen in any store in the general Hartford area, as well.
As for prices? I was expecting to pay a lot more than I did. Several other retailers I frequent in search of obscure figurines make sure to put their prices right up there with Amazon's highest sellers -- or worse. This place, however, turned out to be incredibly reasonable. Sure, there are plenty of high-price, rarer items on the shelves, but the vast majority of what I saw had very, very fair asking prices -- even for things that you'd otherwise have no choice but to pay for shipping on.
If you love figurines, collectibles, comics, etc., you'd be crazy not to check this place out next time you're in the East...
Read moreFavorite place to go to the owner is so sweet I’ve had multiple conversations with him. He knows about figures and holds great conversation. He seems to care about having good variety and carrying only legit figures I come here quite often and I’m happy to purchase from them, for their wide variety, friendly atmosphere, and figure legitimacy. The prices are a 8/10 and are usually quite accurate on how much you can get them for on websites like goodsmile or eBay when it comes to their anime figures. Especially prize figures. The only figures I would say need better pricing are the nendroids as they are quite scattered in price😅 I understand some are more uncommon then others but I’ve seen them price rarer ones lower then common ones many times or ones still available on goodsmile for 50$(their original prices) for like 85$ I love nendos and just wish they would price them a little bit better here. I’ve bought around 5 from them for fair prices. (65-75)Other then that I’d say their pricing is great and I recommend them for anime...
