Gingerroot Chinese Restaurant has truly exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm, friendly smiles and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

The menu offers an impressive variety of authentic Chinese dishes, each bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. I particularly loved the Kung Pao Chicken, which had just the right amount of spice and a delightful mix of tender chicken and crunchy peanuts. The dumplings were also a highlight, with their delicate wrappers and savory filling.

DO NOT GO HERE! Awful awful awful!!!!!!

food is great here, but when the delivery man came to drop off the food he skimped my s/o $10.00!!!!! he was livid. it may not sound like much but times are tough and now were out $10.00! never again, ginger root. Update 9/20/15: decided to go here again because i work in the same plaza and i forgot lunch. I call to get the sushi lunch and i tell the employee which rolls i want and he says 'if you read the menu online you would have known we dont include the philly roll in this deal' like ok maybe ill go read it so i go read it and THERE ISNT EVEN A LIST OF ROLLS it says ANY 2 ROLLS 9.95!!!!!! So i clicked on it because maybe they list the rolls there and it did. But maybe it shouldnt be advertised as ANY 2 rolls 9.95. He made me get off the phone and go look at the menu and then call him back. If that wasnt bad enough i went to go get my food and they didnt even start making it yet. I waited the 15 minutes and i had to wait another 15. Mind you im suposed to be at work. Awful customer service and the food was mediocore. My sushi roll looked mangled. Im also pretty sure i was overcharged....

This place definitely fits the "local hole-in-the-wall" bill. The sushi, teriyaki, and chicken & shrimp special we got were all fantastic. Although I didn't find the dragon & Phoenix chef special to be particularly spicy as the name and menu hinted, the flavors were still good. The prices, plating, and service are excellent. Miso soup and wonton chips were brought out first, then the special sushi roll on a wooden platter, and finally the entrees. The bento box is fun with all the separate sections. All of the food was fresh and hot, and we didn't have to wait long at all. I'm excited to go back and try their ramen and poke bowls, and more from their very extensive sushi list! The only thing that I would have preferred to see is more clear labeling of items that contain raw fish, and overall a more unified menu format. They did have an asterisk to indicate spicy dishes on the house...
