In all fairness to the Target Outlet I hate shopping but sometimes you have to do what you have to do or maybe at least what your wife or daughter wants to do. My wife and I had shopped here for years before her passing as she loved the Coach store as well as some of the other clothing stores scattered about the plaza, for me it was pretty much just the Wilson's Leather, Reebok and Kitchen Collection stores. My problem however with the plaza is the parking lot and just getting in and out of the shopping center. It seems that even the times I have been here that were not black Friday traffic once you get in either sits waiting for a parking spot to open or they go driving through like a bat out of hell not watching for pedestrians. As mentioned about waiting for a spot to park I don't think that there is enough spots available for the shoppers to use and on top of that it looks like they may be expanding the outlet. Another thing I noticed is that they have very few benches for husbands fathers or boyfriends to sit while waiting, a problem that if addressed might make the dreaded trip a bit more tolerable. I will be back since the stores I mentioned are worth the once a year visit but I would not drive the hour and a half...
Read moreThe family was down for their annual visit to Philly and we went to Tanger Outlets Lancaster. The drive from KoP was not bad. We got to see some horse and buggies (see pic for an interesting scene). The layout was nice. It was a nice day so we didn't mind walking the entire place stopping at different stores as we walked. Our favorite place was the candy store, River Street Sweets. They had an impressive array of Jelly Belly flavors and not a bad price (you pay per pound). They also had candy we grew up with but had not seen in a while like strawberry Charleston Chew candy bars. We were impressed that nearly everyone we passed said, "Hello" and/or smiled. We will definitely be back! There is a Cartoon Network hotel down the street and Dutch Wonderland! We also saw a Waffle House and a Cracker Barrel and a few other chain restaurants. Yeah, it's Amish country, so why would you want to eat at a chain restaurant - just because it is Amish country and to see how the chain restaurants stack up! It was a little surprising to see so much development and traffic, though. I think our next visit would be to see more of...
Read moreI'm changing this to five stars since I honestly don't think that there is anything that could be improved in response to the response to my primary review. There are some stores here that offer quality items at prices that are better than normal shops. This space is trying very hard to remain competitive and relevant during our current societies focus on fast fashion, the locations need to be relevant for vacationers I'm trying to stay competitive in this market. When going here it is often for the treat of shopping and window shopping and less for a specific need. I rarely leave with everything I intended to purchase and that is okay with me. I do admire the ample parking, it is extremely accessible for all bodies to explore, it is inclusive, quality lighting and parking, and the playground is always a favorite place to stop. If you want to window shop and possibly find a gym at a good bargain you will be lucky here to enjoy the sunlight, the safety, the quality, and more importantly time with your family playing on...
