I have not been able to speak about this incidient until now and I apologize to both Terri and Joe for not coming forward sooner. After my husband had a stroke about 7 years ago we were in Smith's on our weekly trip and my husband put a cherry in his mouth before I could stop him. One of the "Veggie Girls" with the store packed with customers yelled at the top of her lungs you have to pay for that. This is the reason why our prices are so high and we don't get paid enough for the work we do." After leaving a few dollars on the counter and being consoled by some of the customers I looked around for my husband which I found in the car sobbing. Terri and Joe were not there that day. He has not been able to go back since until I spoke with him 2 weeks ago. His short term memory is gone but he does remember this vivividly. I thought about telling Terri and Joe but did not want to take the chance of someone losing their job as I did shortly after this incident. Everyone has bad days but this anger was deeper. I only hope she found her compassion for all human beings. Smith Acres has thrived and rightfully so and now that time has passed we get to enjoy the fruits of their labor once again. Thank you for listening and I truly understand that every piece of food should be paid for since so much goes into producing it. I know that both of them would never denie food from the truly hungry. God...
Read moreI have the pleasure of driving by Smith's Acres often and I really need to go in more often. They have a wide variety of tropical plants, annuals and perennials. I love that they also sell planters that come in different shapes and sizes as well as unique plant stand and home decor. You'll find just about everything you need for your garden and kitchen at...

The honey roasted sesame crackers, yum. Made for the perfect beach side snack later that day. And such a variety of plants, if you're looking for succulents that's the place to go. I'll surely be...
