Animal Kingdom — Attraction in East Orange

I took my three month old Shih Tzu there Saturday October 14th, to get groomed and we requested a flee dip. When we got the dog, we noticed she was scratching all the time. So we decided to change her food, because at this time I saw no signs of fleas on her. She continued to keep scratching after we changed her diet, and then one day as I was brushing her I saw a flea on her. I had my husband go to Petco (Where I should have gone in the first place) to purchase some flea shampoo, we did the procedure as instructed on the bottle. We rinsed her out and saw a few flea in the water, not sure if we got them all but we did as the bottle instructed. Then to notice her still scratching, we decided to take her for the flea dip at Animal Kingdom. Upon her arrival on the 14th, we explained and stressed to the groomer we wanted our dog to get a flea dip, because we saw fleas on her. The staff proceeded to say we will not just flea dip her if she does not need it, we will check her and if she does not have fleas then we will not have to give her one. My husband still stressed he wanted her to still get one just to be on the safe side, and once again he said there’s no need to flea dip her if she doesn’t have them. Well to make a longer story just a little shorter. THEY ARE THE WORST EVERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY DOG DID NOT GET A FLEA DIP, and guess what she still has fleas. NOT ONLY THAT, HER HAIRCUT WAS NOT DONE PROPERLY!!!!!!!! I ASKED THE LADY NOT TO TOUCH ANY OF HER BODY, ONLY HER EYE AREA AND BUTTOCKS AREA. I GET BACK TO GET HER, HER FEET WERE TRIMMED (I said don’t touch her body!!!!!!!) HER FACE WAS NOT EVEN ON BOTH SIDES, ONE SIDE WAS HIGHER THAN THE OTHER! AND I ASKED FOR A FANNY CLEAN, WHICH SHE JUST TRIMMED DIDNT TAKE ANY HAIR AWAY!!!!!!!!!! SHE CUT HER A BANG THAT NOW HAS TO GROW OUT BECAUSE IT LOOKS A MESS. I WILL NEVER TAKE HER BACK OR RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE FOR GROOMING!!!!!!! They just need to stick to selling animal products, and fire there GROOMING STAFF🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽🙅🏾🙅🏾🙅🏾🙅🏾🙅🏾🙅🏾🙅🏾🙅🏾🙅🏾💇🏾‍♂️💇🏾‍♂️💇🏾‍♂️🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️. I wish I couldn’t even give them a ⭐️, they do not deserve one!!!!!!!!...

This is the second incident that has occurred with my dog at this place. First about a year ago I took her here for a regular grooming appointment and when I picked her up she seemed happy as usual but once I reached my destination I noticed that her eye was cut and nobody said anything to me about it. I called Monday morning and spoke to the owner and explained that I understand mistakes happen but someone could have said something he agreed and said that the person who groomed her had been in the business a long tome and she should have known better. Later that day he advised me that the groomer said my dog moved while she was trimming and he said if I could bring my dog so he could see which I did I took my dog to the vet and he wrote me a check for the bill. It took me almost a year before I took her back there I was so hurt. Finally this is her second appt since then and this time they burned and cut my dog I called the same day as soon as I reached the mall my dog wouldn’t walk so my fiancé after picking her up notices blood on his shirt and I asked if they put my dog inside a dryer or hand blew her I was told that the groomer that did my dog had gone home for the day and the owner was not there but bring my dog back so they could see but my question of how they blow dried her was never answered. I was so hurt I started crying and I didn’t know if I would lose my cool on them so I never went back however Disney is never going back there I paid them 70 dollars to hurt my dog and once again no one said nothing how cruel can a person be to do this...

I purchased a bunny from this establishment and within 2 days the bunny died. Now this bunny was for our daughter. My daughter was so upset, I felt so bad for her. Also I love animals so I was heartbroken as well. Now my husband goes back to the store to inform the staff and honestly they didn't care. My husband brought another bunny with 30% off to try to make our daughter feel better. We had the bunny for a week and yesterday when we got home the bunny was dead. The bunny had fresh water, the food the staff recommended and a nice cage. This is very upsetting. They really need to speak with their breeder and I did call the store to inform them. This is sad especially when you have a child that really loves the animal, now she is heartbroken not once but two times. This is my experience with purchasing an animal from the shop.

In response to owner. We brought a cage from Wal-Mart. Like I stated the bunny had a nice cage, water and food. I went to another pet shop and explained what happened and I was told the rabbits sold to me were too young to be taken from their mother. Also showed pictures of the bunnies. We purchased another bunny from that pet shop and the bunny is healthy and strong. Also the new bunny we purchased is a dwarf and is larger and also a lot more active than the two from animal kingdom. I can truly see a big difference between the bunnies purchased from different pet shops. Now my daughter has a healthy active bunny so...
