Iâd like to express my disappointment with how Club Pilates handles membership cancellations.
While I understand that policies are in place, itâs also the companyâs responsibility to clearly communicate and educate members upfront â not rely on fine print after the fact. In my case:
1.The required 3-month commitment was never clearly explained when I signed up. Mine was signed up thr. the phone.
After 3 months and, even though my membership had been on hold for months, I was still charged for an additional full month JUST TO CANCEL.
When I raised these concerns, the response was simply, âThatâs what you signed up for.â That dismissive attitude was extremely frustrating.
Yes, I may have signed an agreement, but customer service is about more than paperwork â itâs about creating trust, clarity, and long-term relationships. Real service means treating people like partners, not just transactions.
In business, itâs said that one satisfied customer can bring in 70 more â and the opposite is just as true. I no longer feel like a valued member, and this experience has completely changed my perception of your brand.
There are a lot more Pilates centers opening in town â centers that see their members as part of a wellness journey, not just a revenue source. Club Pilates is NOT your short & long-term athletic...
Read moreI signed up for a trial class at Club Pilates Edgewater letting them know that I havenât exercising since before the lockdown; even so I was never so mistreated by an instructor as I was by the Club Pilates instructor; who said more than once to me âyou are not capable of doing my classâ; âyou canât do itâ. Comparing my performance with much younger ladies. I thought a trial class would be a beginner level and like Yogaâs classes for instance the instructor always offers easier exercises to beginners.
I used to go to Tilton before the pandemic and had all kind of classes with many different instructors and I never went trough this embarrassment of someone repeatedly saying that Iâm not capable of doing the exercise and not giving me options; instead they were always kindly helping those who werenât catching up with the rest of the class for any reason... My trial class at Club Pilates Edgewater was very...
Read moreI recently attended a free demo class at Club Pilates with every intention of joining. Unfortunately, the instructorâs attitude was so off-putting that not only did I decide against signing up, but three other participants expressed the same sentiment.
While the instructor was clearly knowledgeable and well-versed in proper technique, her tone was rude, condescending, and dismissive. Comments like âsome of you need to learn your body partsâ or sarcastically saying âuse your other right armâ created an uncomfortable and discouraging atmosphere.
I understand the importance of correct form, but there are ways to teach without making people feel inadequate or unwelcome. This isnât the New York City Balletâitâs a fitness studio meant to encourage growth, not intimidate beginners. The instructor may have expertise, but she lacks the warmth and empathy that makes people...
