Over time and with great attentiveness, Scotty studies his students – learns their limits, their challenges, their receptivity to instruction – and he can then individually address them with gentle, soft-spoken diplomacy. As he continuously, quietly walks among the students (as he guides a flow), he offers impersonal direction to the entire class so that each can check and adjust themselves beneficially; this spares the sensitive one from being offended, embarrassed, or self-conscious in making adjustments.
Scotty’s creative and thoughtful narrative obliterates any temptation to be distracted or annoyed by the little things that may occur (latecomers, limitations of a crowded space, a student that may ‘do his own thing’ during the class) This ensures an atmosphere dedicated to purpose, success, kindness. I know if I’m going to Scotty’s class, my time there is going to be valuable. I drive more than an hour from the mountains to attend his classes as often as possible (3-4 times a week); I am always glad for the effort.
Scotty’s classes are thorough, innovative, and beneficial - physically, mentally, emotionally. The pace with which he leads our movements is uncommonly intuitive. This gives me the confidence needed to continue a flow without anxious hesitation; I can stay in the moment, trusting that I’ll be led intelligently.
His demeanor Inspires humility, patience, and appreciation of self and others. I can take that with me, making my Yoga 6 experience very rich. While I am a private person, his teaching impels me to speak of it to others with the hope that they might find it helpful in their lives. This kind of teaching makes me proud to wear the clothes bearing the name Yoga 6. Over the past 6 years I’ve met many yogis, but Scotty Guynn stands alone in his level of unique dedication to the art.
ADDENDUM 12/4/24: As retirees, my husband and I were crushed to receive your letter today that you will no longer be accepting our insurance plan that enabled us to be Yoga6 members. We will greatly miss not only the healthy benefits, but the friends we’ve made over the last year. Wonderful studios, wonderful staff. Thank you for the experience. If you ever again become part of the Renew Active network, I hope you will let us know; we’d be so grateful. This is a sad...
Read moreI’ve been going to classes at Yoga Six Edgewater for nearly a year now. My wife and I also attend classes at other locations (Littleton, Centennial, and Highlands Ranch). Each of the locations have slightly different vibes while still maintaining a familiarity and consistency that is Y6.
The one thing that keeps us attending Edgewater, Littleton, and Centennial most is that Scotty Guynn teaches at these locations. We try to attend classes at least 3 times a week and will arrange our schedules around when Scotty has a class. Scotty has a particular knack for inspiring you to do a little better than you think you are able. His instructions are given with that perfect timing that allows you to move through a yoga practice with a smooth flow that is so satisfying. He often breaks down the moves to step you into a pose in such a way that you find yourself in a deeper stretch than you have ever been able to achieve or better balance than you would normally have. His hands on assists are always perfect guidance and seem to come exactly when you would need it.
I would recommend Yoga Six to anyone wanting to learn yoga as well as those already experienced in their practice. While all the teachers are great, you will definitely want to schedule a session with Scotty (book early because his classes...
Read moreI can’t say enough great things about my experience with Hot Yoga at YogaSix! From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed and supported. The studio is clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed — a calm, inviting space that instantly puts you in the right mindset to focus inward.
The Hot Yoga class itself was nothing short of transformative. The heat was intense but manageable, creating a perfect environment to deepen stretches, detoxify, and build strength. The instructor was absolutely phenomenal — knowledgeable, encouraging, and attentive to everyone in the room, offering modifications and guidance as needed. I appreciated how they emphasized breath, alignment, and mindfulness, making the class accessible to all levels while still challenging.
What sets YogaSix apart is the sense of community and genuine care from the staff. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned yogi, you’ll feel seen and supported. After just one session, I walked out feeling both energized and grounded — clearer in mind, lighter in body, and totally recharged.
If you’re thinking about trying hot yoga, I can’t recommend YogaSix enough. It’s more than just a workout — it’s a full...
