I have been a satisfied customer of 99 Ranch Market in California for years, but this location does not deserve the same name. Their customer service is atrocious. It seems impossible to find staff on the floor for assistance. Waiting in the queue to ask a cashier was a waste of time as she did not speak any English. Then going to the Customer Service counter was equally a waste of time as the representative even there was unable to understand English. While this is a Chinese store, it is in the United States with a number of American customers - they should be able to communicate with their customers - most especially at the customer service desk - finally I managed to get the so-called Customer Service representative to realize that I wanted someone who understood English - she did call over another representative who at least spoke some English, albeit too limited - I let her know I wanted an email address for the store's manager, and it seemed she understood - she did say she would get it from the office and be back - she walked off and went behind closed doors - I waited excessively long, and finally left in frustration when she never returned - something as simple as the manager's email should actually kept at the Customer Service desk - staffing at this store is absolutely atrocious - customer service is greatly lacking - while I was pleased to be a regular customer at 99 Ranch Market in California, 99 Ranch in New Jersey has lost this customer unless and until management follows up respectfully rightfully with a show of actual customer service. While nearby Kam Man market is apparently more of a specifically Korean market than a Chinese market, they have now earned my business in this area - their staff communicate well and actually seem to care about their customers. Khan Market is a good bit further away, but I am now going out of my way to shop there as well - their selection is even better than 99 Ranch, and their staff are exponentially better as well. Goodbye 99 Ranch Market - I am deeply...

Read moreThis Asian grocery store focuses mostly on Taiwainese and Chinese brands. It is a place for fairly priced goods. Pottery - check. Fresh veggies and fruits - check. Fish and meats - check. Frozen food - check. Canned and dried goods - check. Snack - hella yas! Double check! They do run specials which can be found near the front of the store or at the end caps to make it easier find the sale items.
It’s a fairly organized and neat store with everything clearly labeled. If you are not sure where it is, look up and you will see the signs of where things are. If you still can’t find something, just ask one of the employees. They are usually stocking things and making sure things are neatly arranged.
If you are not in the mood to cook, no worries. They have a food court for hot foods such as dim sum, noodle soups, and my beloved congee when I am too busy to make it. Although the last time I ordered congee from them, they were a bit parsimonious with my pork congee order. Boo! There is also a section where you can purchase BBQ items Hong Kong Style such as whole or half of a soy sauce chicken, roast duck, and roast pig with crispy skin. There's a Chinese bakery baking fresh on premises, so you can get desserts there to make your shopping trip easier. It’s like a one stop shopping. These two places can be found in the back of the store. They are run independently from Ranch 99 so you will have to pay separately at these stations.
At the time of this written review, all employees were seen wearing mask. There is a liquid hand sanitizer near the entrance/exit of the front door. There is a huge parking lot in front of the store so you will not run into any problems with finding parking. It is in the same mall strip as AutoZone and Sunmerry...
