Jason JJ Hair — Attraction in Edison

For over 10 years, I’ve been coming back to see Jason to get my haircut. Each time, I leave pretty satisfied. Let me tell you, he knows his stuff. He studies the trends, will tell you if a haircut does or doesn’t make sense, and is very meticulous and detailed with his cut. I know there have been times I’ve had some weird ideas, but no matter what, he knows how to cut it. I don’t know about you, but I appreciate a confident barber. That being said, come prepared and research some styles you are looking into before your haircut. It’ll make the process smoother and reduce confusion.

What I like most about Jason’s cut, is his detailing. I unfortunately don’t have a picture of my back, but I really do like the way he fades the sides and cleans up the back. My favorite is the undercut. Other barbers tend to quickly run through it, but Jason spends time making sure it looks good.

Lastly, Jason is a very approachable and knowledgeable guy. If you ask, he will give you tips on styling, blow drying, hair products, his honest opinion on hair supplements, and will make sure you have everything you need to look good. If I lived closer, I would visit once a month to keep things fresh. I have seen multiple different hair stylists throughout my life and no one could ever cut my hair right the way that I want it cut. I came across Jason on Instagram and said to my self, let’s give this person a chance even though they probably won’t get it right.

The first day meeting him I immediately told him my complaints and history of past hair cuts and that no one could ever cut my hair the way I wanted it. He was very patient and understanding and said to let him give it a try, that he was confident he can give me the style/cut I’ve been wanting.

As he was cutting my hair, I noticed that the way he approaches cutting my hair is meticulous and every move he made, he made it with precision. After he finished the hair cut, it actually turned out better than I expected/anticipated. He was finally able to give me the cut that I always wanted! Fast forward to today and I have been seeing him for the past 5 years now. He listens, he is amazing at what he does and he will always provide professional input.

I have been here for color and haircut, and every time I am happy with the results. I even had an instance where I thought the haircut could be shorter after he was almost done and he gladly fixed it for me.

More importantly, he is very punctual and reponsive. He responds to my messages quickly and schedules appointments as soon as possible, and is very good at following appointment times. Obviously sometimes other appointments show up late, so there may be a small wait, but that hasnt happened to me in over a year.
