Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Edison

Consider this a warning... DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE.

Absolutely livid. This is the worst Chipotle on the face of the earth. Buckle up.

Placed a pickup order (after showing up and seeing a sign on the door saying they were not allowing in person ordering). Fine. Ok. Not a big deal. Placed the order at 530 and sat in the parking lot until 6, which was when I was told it would be ready.

At 6, now the doors are miraculously open and people are allowed to order inside. I go inside to pickup the order, and it isn't ready. Literally watched about 10 people come in, order and get served before me. I am livid at this point, because the staff knows I am there waiting for my order, yet they continue to serve walk-ins. It's now about 630 at this point.

FINALLY get my order, and this is the surprise waiting for me in the bag once I returned home... 2 completely wrong orders Put zero lettuce in either of the salads that were ordered Gave cheese when there wasn't supposed to be cheese. Gave the measliest amount of chicken I have ever seen in my life, It was insulting Put the spiciest fiery depths of hell sauce on my salad, when it was supposed to be mild Forgot the dressings for both salads

Now they are not answering their phone for me to request a refund.

I refuse to waste 1 more minute of my day driving back trying to get my money returned.

Eat here at your own risk. Seriously, we wished we listened to the reviews that we read before ordering. Gave the benefit of the doubt.

This place needs to be closed down.

Shame on me for not driving the extra 5 minutes to the Metuchen Chipotle that had given me the biggest, best burrito bowl I had ever ordered only a week before. Take my advice, drive the extra 5 minutes...

Between this store running out of food items and not notifying you through the app - it’s not a well run store. I also have to preface this review by noting that I haven’t encountered and issues with any of the staff - everyone was professional.

I ordered a burrito, chips, and a side of queso for dinner and confirmed a pickup time of 9:30. Total after I rounded up was $20. I get to the Chipotle Lane and the woman there, which I’ve encountered a couple of times previously, was nice and she informed me that the store ran out of chips. She offered to give me extra queso or a drink so I opted for the drink. Talk about a smile (yea I guess I’m gullible)! I get home and there’s no queso to begin with and after doing the math, a drink and a burrito with guac no extra meat doesn’t equate to $20. At this point I decide to provide feedback in the app and I got free chips and queso loaded to my account.

On a separate occasion my brother ordered between 9:20 and 9:30 through the app. When he showed up to pick up, staff told him they forgot to make his food and they already threw out all of the food for the night. Again, staff was professional and they advised him to call corporate and provided him with the phone number so he could get a refund. Corporate not only refunded him but loaded free food on his app.

Look the staff here is nice and provide customer service to a point - that point reaches its limit when the store runs out of things and corporate isn’t backing them up. Corporate, if you’re reading this, support your...

Find another chipotle. The store manager does not know how to run the store and as you can see from all the reviews, it shows tremendously. If you’re coming for lunch, sure, but any time after 6, I’d stay away. They cut the steak into really small pieces, looking like ground beef. They’re usually out of ingredients and the overall food is subpar. I’ve wrote to chipotle about their closing times multiple times, yet management has failed to update their operating hours on google and the chipotle website. If you want to close at 6, be my guest. Mention that on the google and website page. What ends up happening is a bunch of cars are sitting in the parking lot all confused about if they are open or not at 7:30. What’s funny though is I caught the store closing early enough so that there enough food for the workers to eat and take home while there are customers knocking on the door. At 8 pm. It’s downright comical. This store has the ability to be a top performing location given its high value location but the manager seems to be an incompetent ghost. They don’t answer phones. After trying to call them to make sure they’re open before I drive out there, I realized the probably hid the phone in a drawer in an office. I even called the store while being in the store and I never heard it nor did anyone answer. Worst run chipotle ever. Service is ok and food is ok. Management tho is abysmal.
