Repair quality 5/5, customer service 5/5, cost 4/5, timeframe 5/5, value 5/5. Excellent overall.

I originally called to get a quote and missed the front desk. Called me back immediately though and gave me the info I was looking for (when/where to drop off my computer)

I dropped my computer off with Wayne, and left a detailed note on what was wrong. He was able to have my problem fixed (non-responsive laptop keyboard) back within 24hrs of me dropping off. According to him, they try and get work done within 1-3days of drop off. Seems to be accurate. Wayne gave me his number to call if I had any questions, and sent me a copy of the work order (upon my asking for a receipt/tag at drop off)

Wayne was very friendly, and was able to make the repair without replacing any parts, which I assume saved me some money. He also noted that there’s a 30day work warranty if for some reason their fix on my old keyboard doesn’t last. (Bad connector/dirty connection). Also worth noting that I said if there was an option, I’d like to not replace a lot of parts because my computer is old. I don’t know if that factored into what fix they decided on though.

They charged hourly, which was fair. 1.75hr @ $60 an hour. For $105 total. A little more than I would have liked to pay for a connector cleaning/repair; but worth it since they skillfully solved my issue with extremely fast turn around time.

Maybe I could have paid less for a hobbyist off Facebook market or a friend to fix it; so that’s why I say 4/5 on price; but definitely the best value for the money imo.

A spammer gained access to my laptop and was busily trying to set it up to have control of it and steal data any time he wanted. When I realized what was happening I took my pc off line and took it to Computer Zone on Monday. I took it in about noon and Wayne said he probably would have it done sometime Tuesday. At about 4 pm Monday Wayne called and said he had removed all the malware the spammer had installed and had updated my laptop security and other items and it was ready for me to pick up. I picked it up Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised at how small the bill was. On Wednesday I tried to print from the pc but was unable to do so. I called CZ and they remotely accessed my pc so I did not have to bring printer, pc and hot spot into town for assistance. The issue was due to spammer interruption of the connection between pc and printer. They resolved the issue in about 20 minutes and declined to charge for that service since I had just been in. I regret that I can only give CZ five stars so I make my rating 5 GOLD stars. Computer Zone is the greatest. I used them some time ago to have a new hard drive installed in my old Dell computer. It worked perfectly for several years and I was completely happy with the computer and the performance after the new drive was installed. It was a 2015 box and parts up till then. After receiving the notice from Microsoft that they would be moving to Windows 11 I returned to Computer Zone and they offered to check if the machine would be able to use the new windows system. As you can imagine it would not make that jump and I was offered a refurbished  computer with new components, larger hard drive, faster processing and more ram. The price was very reasonable. They even removed the old hard drive and placed it in the new box for an automatic backup for my files. Most people would not have even asked if I wanted to do that. They are so customer conscious and want you to be happy with their work and service. I have recommended them to others and will continue to do so.
