Planet Fitness — Attraction in Edwardsville

I joined in Aug. of 2021, I noticed machines are separated as much as possible with the exception of ellipticals treadmills & stair climbers. Many people use those machines but they ask you to social distance by keeping at least 1 machine apart if possible 2. It's very clean, there are cleaning stations around the gym & they ask you to wipe machines before & after use to keep any cold, flu or virus at bay. 95% of the people do that, there's 5% that don't, the staff tries to do diligence & reminding members as well as announcements on the TVs to wipe down machines before & after use. They used to be 24/7 but since covid broke out check the times they are open. They do intense cleaning on certain nights, which I totally appreciate!! I love they have a crowd meter, you can go online & see how busy they are based on how many people log in with their qrl or barcode, that's the way you log in. One really awesome perk is they have showers available for you to use! There are lockers as well as hair dryers in the locker rooms which is a big plus! Bring your own lock, you can bring your own sanitizing wipes if you're comfortable with that. They do have cleaning stations that you can grab paper towels & a bottle of cleaning solution, spray the paper towel & wipe down your machine. They truly are judgment free, which I LOVE! They run specials from time to time like zero down $10 a month, they also have the Black card which is a little more expensive but you can go to any planet fitness in the world, also use of massage chairs tanning booths etc etc. The classic card you can only use at the gym that you signed up at, you can't go from one gym to another even if it is in the same area. I highly recommend this, people are not there to show off or try to pick you up, I feel safe & comfortable going there. Masks are optional, but I recommend using some type of mask only because of rising cases. Kicking off the New Year with a spectacular planet fitness team! This facility is notably one of the cleanest, personable, and comfortable locations in the NEPA area. The staff that has formed gets more professional and dynamic as this planet fitness team grows. It's nice to see employees who treat each other like friends and also work diligently. Their treatment of the planet fitness guests, let alone the facility they must tend to, is above and beyond. Natasha continues to be an admirable leader to all in her abilities to greet guests like family and remember 99% of the MANY guests names that come through. She doesn't miss a single "good day," or "see you later." Even as guests test her patience she always provides top notch assistance, and seamlessly keeps her professional composure. With the New Years guests arriving there's no doubt she will continue to give each guest the most welcoming planet fitness experience. Also admirable is fellow employees, manager Jessica's, and trainer Isaiah's abilities to give guests their greetings and assistance through conversation, or making sure guests are accommodated accordingly. The facility remains to have a fresh look thanks Jessica's leadership and to the staff's noticeable efforts and abilities to keep up with the boundless list of cleaning assignments. Hardly ever do broken machines remain under repair thanks to the fast turn around period provided by the maintenance team. Any messes, guest conflicts or even bathroom restocking are always tended to without missing a beat. A guest to planet fitness couldn't be luckier to have this facility to attend as it is truly a powerhouse for motivation and inspiration amongst the members, and staff. I came as a guest on 10/28 around the evening and when I was greeted there by the personal trainer I had seen a tattoo on her forehead and asked her what it meant. She told me it was a crown of thorns that Jesus wore. I don’t mean to be a Karen but as a religious person I don’t appreciate this kind of thing especially for a place that advertises as “judgment free” it’s very offensive agaisnt religious groups who believe in Christ and also ones who don’t. I fully support expressing your beliefs but to have someone like this representing as your fitness advisor it makes it very hard to approach her with the right idea without thinking something of it. I hope you take my review into consideration and maybe not terminate the employee but maybe have someone else be the “fitness instructor” of the building because if you asked me to go there I wouldn’t advise it especially to a religious group. Besides all of the factors in that the club was very beautiful one of the cleanest I have ever been to and also very easy to navigate. It is also the first one to have handicapped parking which was also very nice since it was very crowded...
