I haven't been to this badminton club in years. I'm sorry to say that the quality has gone down a lot from the last time I came here. For starters, a lot of players there has no common badminton etiquette. Through out the whole time I was there we had to constantly tell people not to walk onto the court while we were playing a match. It wasn't that there was no where to walk, people just kept on walking onto the back of the court. Luckily we didn't run into a person or god forbid smack one. Also there were parents there with their kids, whom just let them run around the club, most of the time they would run onto the sides or the back of the courts while there was a match going on. I almost reached to boiling point and was going to yell at the parents for not watching and disciplining their kids. One of the people in our group couldn't stand it anymore and literally told the kids to not come anywhere near our courts. Also whomever the owner is must be really cheap. This club has A/C but it was never turned on. They could have at least turned on the fan for the A/C. The entire time I was there it was extremely hot and HUMID. Think of the amount of people inside that building. All the courts were full, good estimate, there had to be at least close to 95 people inside. Everyone hot and sweaty and no air circulation... Outside was a lot cooler than inside this gym. They were also having issues with some the lights going off. The staff said that the lights was being fixed and that they will be back on in a few minutes. I gave this gym 1 stars because it's better than high school gyms. This is by far the worst badminton club I've been to in the area. There are so many badminton clubs to choose from, San Gabriel Badminton Club 1, San Gabriel Badminton Club 2 located in Pomona, Orange County Badminton Club, and Yan Long Badminton Club. Any of these clubs would be way better then this place. If you want to have a good time playing badminton, I would go to the...
Read moreOne of the nicer badminton club I been to, probably because it is fairly new and the price is a tad higher than others. However, if you are a student and have your student ID, it is $8 to go in...so bring your student ID!! Also, you need to get a LABC ID before you can enter and use it to turn on the lights to the court...there goes more of your $$$ again.
Came with my buddies at 10 PM on a Saturday weekend and it was fairly dead, with about half the court taken so which is a good thing. Also, parking was plentiful if you come at that time since you can play till the wee hour of the night, which we did. Bring water and get sweaty since even though there was air circulation, there was not enough...and they have water fountain actually too!
Remember to bring your own racket and shuttlecock....although there are tons of old shuttlecock lying...
Read moreFirst-time experience at the badminton gym was disappointing. No initial greeting or explanation of the system at the front desk. Though we eventually got consent forms signed, the staff failed to provide guidance on the reservation system, leaving us confused throughout the process.
Day guest pass only allows 5-minute reservations per person, encouraging group monopolization of courts. The overall maintenance of the courts was subpar, with short service lines missing parts, and the bleacher areas were notably unclean. The impression was that maintaining cleanliness was more of a self-service effort.
While observing experienced players was enjoyable, the negative aspects, including the theft of our birdie tube with unhelpful staff response, make it uncertain if we would...
