Salvador Rivas Jr Spray Park — Attraction in El Paso

I recently visited the park with my 2yr and 6yr old and we had a great time. The park has a nice soccer field and a baby area that was perfect for my young children. In the summer the mini water playground is a hit and we spent a lot of time there on a hot day. We were also able to buy ice truck that is parked nearby, which was a nice added bonus. The only downside was that the ice truck only accepted cash, so be prepared with some bills if you want to buy something. Overall, the park was clean, well-maintained, and had a lot to offer. The park is great and has several play options for kids. However i was there today (04/19/21) and there was 2 different men recording the kids playing. The first man said he was recording for “personal reasons” then he left when the police was called. The second boy about (15/16 y.o.) tried to record in secret and was confronted by myself and other parents- yelling and screaming. He took off running into the neighborhood behind the splash pad. Great FREE FUN for the kids. Perfect spot to take the kiddos and let's them have a blast. All you need is some drinking water, maybe some nacks and find some shade. Good amt of shaded areas, but just in case bring and umbrella or something for shade. The water seems very clean, the chlorine smell is definitely in the area. Only complaint is how dirty the picnic areas are. The city needs to powers wash the benches and cement areas...
