Met up with some buddies in Elgin for food and a night out, so we were not regulars. This spot is pretty cool. It has a lounge style room where there was someone playing music dj style. Another separate area towards the back where they have a pool table, two dart boards and a bowling game. All the makings for a good spot to connect with friends. My buddy went to the lounge to get a second drink. The bar tender seemed to be more interested in doing shots and chatting with her friends, leaving my friend standing there for several minutes. When he tried to get her attention, he got the wait signal in complete bartender fashion. He came back and said, let's find somewhere else to be. I'll state something that business owners know all to well. Nothing will send business/money heading for the door fast than treating guests like they're unimportant and giving bad service. Read moreGreat new place in downtown Elgin. DT Elgin has been in dire need of an actual BAR. There are plenty of restaurants which serve alcohol but really only 1 other true bar. They have great drink specials (I was there on a Tuesday and its $4 you call its starting at 8pm) and the bartender (Gracie) was attentive and super friendly. The place is pretty nostalgic old school architecture. The owner Roger was tending the bar. Really nice guy, we love talking with him as he was telling us his journey opening the bar.
