If they make a mistake on their end they will do nothing to accommodate trying to fix it to keep a regular customer. They would rather make things difficult for you to buy back after making the mistake, not trying to meet Ina. Middle some way to fix the mistake just for you to spend more money to fix their mistake, wouldn't even offer to separate the items they made the mistakes on to buy back separately when I called about the situation then came to the store to try to do SOMETHING about it all they wanted was to repawn in after I bought it back to apply toward the other 2 items I was using to buy the items back in the first place. Also doing all of this with me only having a couple days left on my pawn before it's theirs. No care on the mistake causing me to not be able to buy my stuff back as long as you get items in your store (just another stupid customer, right?) So now im over here freaking out to my fiancĂ© and refusing to ever go back to a pawn shop because now im in fear of losing something because of something I wasnt informed of when making the ticket to pawn the first 2 items! Im on a contract with my insurance company for completing school and I have great grades i didnt think this would be a hassle trying to get my items back that's why I called about buyig them back separately because I was going to come in Friday (last week buy one item) and was going to get my other item this week. Im not going to let yall fork more money out of me buy making me pawn another laptop I need for my school. When yall should have did something to meet halfway for the mistake. I wont asking for much i was asking to literally basically FIX her mistake with 2 other items because I needed the first 2 back and didnt know y'all were going to make it a hassle in a half if I was just informed from the start all this would have been avoided but instead of trying to fix it you basically saying without wanting to spend more money or screw yourself after we already made the mistake and upset you while you're to find a way to accommodate something I basically was asking for a switch of items and this time SEPARATE TICKETS oh and of course the addictive tax cost attached to the separate tickets making it more money for yall in the end đ€Łđ thank you for making me not return n when or if I can now at this point get my items back I will NOT return because you showed lack of care towards your customer, acknowledgement and wanting to fix an employees mistake, and your also acting like what I was asking to fix the mistake wasnt fair I came in with the Xbox series x and my samsung tv in even was nice and made sure fresh batteries were in the controller so there were no issues. Even said you would need to reconnect the controller if you go to check it cause I had multiple controllers at home I kept the one I always use and brought my secondary.    Read moreI left a couple pretty bad reviews about my issues which I was disappointed at the time of how it was handled. I went up there today and resolved the issue the girl who handled it asked questions we said both of our sides and she was understanding she even apologized for the incident after tensions went away, she handled my new transaction. I understand if customer get upset kind of backing off some before it escalates but I honestly just have a bad tone I can be happy and my tone can come off angry, i dont realize, I am from a loud family and we all can sound like we are angry with each other but aometimes we are just cracking jokes (obviouslyi won't making jokes but i wasn't angry until after i left i was just upset in the store trying ro figure out what to do because i was relying on the transactionthat day to work itselfout and then it put me in a realt tough spot). I won't mad until I left that day feeling a lot but not feeling happy with the store and felt in a way screwed. After I talked to the lady today she was understanding I was just worrying and I left to avoid being angry I was just upset on how things was handled and she said she understood. Because of this interaction to fix things like I asked for in just some small manner even just the apology and conversation afterward even when I felt the first issue wasnt resolved by them just this was enough for me to come back. I understand you cant be giving to all customers and have a business to do I do get that but when I explained to her the situation, bills, etc she understood I was just in a panic and I just wish I knew before hand about the buy back policy on two items.
Honestly the pawn shop has some cool things in there and I'm sure I will adjust this review again the more I interact with this company. But I am very picky on places I go. One bad time and usually I won't return. I stuck to the same foodlion in virginia beach for years instacart and my daily shopping I would drive 15 minutes instead of 5 just because I liked the environment, I liked it so much when I got pregnant and wanted something more reliable than instacart i went and worked for that same store for 3 years after that. I left when most of the people i enjoyed working with left and felt the enviroment changed and was no longer enjoyable to be in. Today I just couldn't afford driving all the way to Virginia I had a lot to get done and a speeding ticket to pay immediately and dont get paid until Friday so I went in and this was how it went. Iâve sold/pawned various high-end items to several other pawn shops over the years; it had become normal to feel like I was just being ripped off and lied to after a sale, no matter how well-informed or realistic I was being about the value of an item. I actually understand that selling to a pawn shop is not going to net in as much of a profit as a private party sale would; the shop has to be able to make something decent on it as well, but there is a sweet spot in the pricing where both parties feel good⊠and finding that spot just seems to be a rare occurrence. I happened to be in the area and brought my goods in, just to see what Elizabeth City Pawn and Gun would offer, and honestly I was expecting the same disappointment in valuation as always. Surprisingly, this was the first time that I left a pawn shop feeling satisfied with the sale. Eddie was upfront, informed, and communicative about the items I brought to sell, and between him, his wife, and the other gentleman working the shop, they created an overall welcoming and positive vibe to the place. They also have a great selection of quality items for sale, which was tempting considering the value I received for my transaction. I can definitely recommend their store if you want to sell something for fair value and donât want to take the time or the hassle of conducting a private-party sale. I didnât actually pawn for loan, so I can only surmise that they would be just as honest and fair about valuing your items for pawn as they did for my sale. Just beware that you will be tempted by their awesome selection of guns, electronics, household goods and so much more as youâre walking out with a handful of money from your sale....
