I went to this place about 3 weeks ago because I was looking for a new nail salon that I could continue going to. This one had great reviews so I walked in on a Saturday and was seen within a few minutes. I needed a fill in and wanted to change my oval shaped nails to square. There seemed to be confusion on who would do my nails as one lady sat down for me but then another lady ended up doing it. This lady started off good but then started cutting too deep into my cuticles. There were like 4 of my nails bleeding. She acted like she didn’t see it. I pointed it out and she claimed I already had cuts on my cuticles. BS! I should have walked out but wanted to at least finish since we had already started. When she did the square shape she left the part behind the nail tip bulky. Overall horrible experience and I can’t return. Getting nails done shouldnt be painful. I went to another place recently and they didn’t cut up my cuticles so I thought about what a bad job Shade nails did and decided to...
Read moreThis was my 2nd visit to Shade Nails and it was just a pleasant as the 1st visit. I just want to say that this is the BEST nail salon I've been to since I've moved to Jersey. This salon is so welcoming and professional. Rosy was my nail tech and she was AMAZING. She was pleasant, gentle, and pays attention to detail. I showed her the picture of the design I wanted and she NAILED IT! The owner is also Great. She leads by example and it shows in her staff. She offered me a cup of coffee while Rosy was doing my nails, which took me by surprise. I declined bc I dont drink coffee, so she offered me tea, which i love. I thought that was so sweet. I've never had that service in a salon that wasn't a luxury spa. The cherry on top was that I absolutely LOVED my Nails❤️💅. I got so many compliments on vacation. I will definitely make an appointment...

It’s been a little over a week since I visited this shop. I got a gel pedi and a French gel mani.
My pedi is holding up beautifully. And the lady was very gentle. But my French gel mani is no good. Lots of lifting and chipping. And the nail tech was visibly frustrated because she had to do French on my nails. And even mentioned how “oh clients say they want something simple; and they pick French. It’s not simple”
While I was at the shop, I felt like the customer experience wasn’t what it should be. The pedicure lady would stop working, just to watch the novela on tv and constantly turning her head to watch more. No music playing. Just a loud tv. The massage chairs for pedis wasn’t very comfortable and they didn’t offer not even a tiny bottled water. I don’t think...
