On the evening of Feb 13th, 2021 my husband went down to answer our front door and tripped. The trip resulted in a traumatic injury to his knee, literally tearing away the tendons that hold the knee in place. Due to COVID-19 myself or none of the family were able to accompany him to the ER. Emergency surgery was performed and he went to rehab for 3 weeks.we were not able to visit at rehab.
My husband is the backbone of our family. Eventually he was scheduled to return home...but to what???? His leg up to his bottom was in a cast. How could we keep him comfortable in the smallest way??? A hospital bed or a lift chair ??? I looked online for medical supply locations near us and found Medfirst..one phone call and done!!!!! Spoke with Pabel who coordinated everything for me, I could not be more pleased with his attention. This experience was rough on our family...the lift chair was a godsend for my husband. He wasn't able to go to bed or lay down at all even when the cast removed and the brace put on. The chair wasn't the most comfortable but he was able to transfer safely and nap off and on.    Read moreI ordered the medical bed and the mattress was flimsy. My husband could not rest on it when I laid on the mattress springs of the bed could be felt through your body. Due to his discomfort I had to cancel after one day. I called the service and told them of my dilemma the bed was picked up and upon calling concerning my refund out of $325 they returned $75. I asked the gentleman why so little refund and the tides changed very nasty disrespectful and I would never deal with this company again. And I advise you do not deal with them!!!I
I had no thoughts of ever getting back on this website but I must say after my original post I was contacted by the owner and to my surprise he was very apologetic and anxious to resolve any misunderstanding of this situation. I was refunded all of my money other than a service charge of $75. It is not many companies that would do what he did. I must say I was quite pleased with the resolution of this situation. An owner doesn't always know those who are representing their company but to read my comment and listen to the conversation between their representative and myself is commendable.    Read moreAnother 10-star experience! This is my third opportunity to deal with Medfirst Homecare. I purchased our hospital bed through them more than 8 years ago (great experience #1) and they handled its dismantling and setup when we moved two years ago (great experience #2). And, once again, they knocked it outta the park today, when they handled the bed's journey from one apartment to another this morning! From my first phone call to my last "Wow! Thanks sooo much!" phone call at the completion of today's moving experience - simply excellent.
Our latest move was a domino exercise - I was waiting for someone to move out, who was waiting for someone to move out, who was waiting for someone to move out, so it involved several 'on again, off again' target move dates. Both Jeizl and Ruthie in the office were extremely patient, professional, and friendly. And yesterday, when the move reeeely happened, Danny and Raymond were top-notch; they handled the whole thing carefully and quickly, and made sure everything was operating smoothly. And, they all put up with my corny jokes and puns with good humor!
Bottom line, this company has been reliably better-than-5-star...
