Willow Creek Cinema 8 — Attraction in Escanaba

So after 4 years and through the Covid resurgence I decided to give this theater another chance and took my wife to see Spider Man No Way Home as she really wanted to see it. The theater I would say was approximately a little over quarter full. I will say the trashy people of Escanaba always seem to come out and find a way to ruin it for others. First off there were quite a few very young children in attendance with no adult supervision. I assume their parents dropped them like a day care. These children were constantly running back and fourth and flashing cell phone lights and talking throughout the entire movie. Then there was a older man with some young children that by the sounds of it felt like he needed to very loudly narrate the entire movie to his children and everyone else within ear shot as well. There is absolutely no reason to return to the theaters because they can’t police the rude people in attendance and those people don’t care whether they ruin the experience for others in attendance. Disappointing evening. Went to see Split and paid extra for VIP seating. There was a line of young people sitting a few rows down. Two girls had their cell phones out almost constantly. I went out and talked to one of the men working at the theater. I asked if we could change our VIP seats because of this. He said yes. I asked if he would come and walk through and he said he would. He never did. When I spoke with him afterward, he apologized that he hadn't walked through but it wasn't his job and he forget to tell another man to do it. If you want to blow big bucks on an evening out, don't do it at Willow Creek Cinema in Escanaba unless you don't mind constant interruptions.

This is the closest you will get to a modern theater with a nice VIP section that let's you buy tickets in advance and pick your seats so you don't have to hurry or worry about getting a crappie seat. It does cost a little extra but the huge arm rests and upholders more than make up for the price. Additionally the VIP section seats are picked in the best audio and video parts of the theater which is another bonus. Also don't forget to sign up for a frequent visitor member card as you get points for each ticket you buy and you get bonus items after you have seen a certain amount of movies. They have 8 screens with almost stadium style seating as well as a 3D screen.
