I am very sad to write this review. I went to this shop in December and the shop is beautiful and the staff is friendly, I had every intention on making this my regular braid shop, but now it’s not likely at all. Mrs. Anna installed micro braids into my hair on Saturday, Dec. 14th When she finished she did not knot the ends or anything, but she assured me that they wouldn’t come a loose. By that Monday, of course they were coming undone, so I called Mrs. Anna and she told me to come back on Saturday, Dec 21st. I was at that shop for SIX HOURS!!! and when I left the braids still did not look right. I got the braids for a trip to Jamaica, by December 23 the braids were once again coming undone. I went swimming one time and by Christmas Day half of the braids literally fell out of my head!!!! So while on vacation I had to spend a day taking braids down and I got my hair re-braided while I was in Jamaica. I communicated with Mrs. Anna and sent her pics of my hair every step of the way so that she would know that I’m not just trying to get over on her. I paid Mrs. Anna $300 for micro braids and she improperly installed them. I paid $250 for hair that was wasted because it was improperly installed. I paid $150 for box braids because the micros were a disaster!! I called Mrs. Anna when I returned and she offered to do box braids for me, which of course I don’t need since I already have my hair braided. She offered to give me $150 of my money back, but I do not believe that is fair. I am out of $700 because she improperly installed my braids, I think that it would only be fair for her to refund the complete $300. She did not agree with that, and we have not been able to come up with a resolution so I will be filing a law suit against her tomorrow morning. It took 7 hours (which is normal for African hair braiding studios), but after only like a week or 2 my braids started slipping out. And the style I wanted wasn't exactly what was given to me. Don't get me wrong, it was cute but 1.It didn't last last long considering the price If they know they cant do a certain style, don't say you can : / I wouldn't completely say this place is a No but I would have to try it again to get a full honest opinion on it.

I will no longer be going back to the studio. Ladies, gentleman, and everyone in between, please don't pay attention to the majority five star reviews because what happens is Anna will ask you to pull out your phone and rate her Studio 5 stars after she's done doing your hair. That's when it looks it's best. And over the course of a week you'll slowly start to lose braids and that's when the madness starts. I'm starting to look over some of the other reviews and them noticing that some people are having the same experience. Staff is inconsistent about showing up to appointments, the reviews are fake, the low quality hair provided in the studio is not suited for a majority of the hairstyles that people are asking for, and the African women within the studio are very texturist when it comes to handling black women's hair. For my natural girls, stay away! Don't risk your healthy hair to try this studio. Don't waste your money. And for those who actually had a good experience, congratulations, but I will be staying away from this one. It's sad to think that the people that you thought would know how to finally handle your hair would disappoint you so much. $300 down the toilet. ALSO THEY TEND TO HAVE...
Read moremy son Needed a re-twist because due to his Loctician is out of the country and will not be back until late next week so since I go to Anna to Get my braids done I decided to go to her and have them re-twist my son’s hair. OK when we left from there, it looked OK. It wasn’t the best, but once it fully dried, it was flaky whatever The lady used in his hair, made his locks white flaky. I reached out to Anna, letting her know how dissatisfied I was and sent her a picture. She read my message, but she never responded so I sort of blame myself partially because I should’ve asked if that person had experience and the price she overcharged three times what I normally pay, but I didn’t know where else to go. I sent her another message and the owner asking for a partial refund and I sent pictures. Also, I thought that she would’ve reached out to me to make it right But crickets I love going to her to get my hair done, but no more I will never patronize her business again or recommend anyone thereso I would advise you if you’re going for retwist don’t. Don’t make the same mistake I did by not asking if the person was experienced because apparently she was not. I feel some type of way cause she never responded to me and we have a history.
