I can't rate the service or atmosphere because I ordered through DoorDash. This rating is specifically based around the food. I ordered the the Double Bacon Burger, onion rings and a chocolate shake, my daughter got the Bourbon Bacon Burger, onion rings and a brownie shake.
My burger was so soaked in mustard it soaked into the wrapper during the 9 minute trip from the restaurant to my house and when I pulled it out of the bag the burger wrapper was actually tearing into bits and leaking out into the bag. I figured okay, things happen, no big deal..... Except when I tried the burger it dropped mustard the entire way through, I like mustard, but this was heartburn inducing three to four tablespoons worth of mustard, one sad pickle and 5 little onion squares. If the burger did have any seasoning, it was impossible to tell, all I tasted was mustard and I gave up halfway through. The onion rings were weird, flat, greasy disks with no flavor to speak of and the shake tastes like a half cup of Hershey's syrup.... That over sweet, artificial chocolate flavor. That is just my order.
My daughter's burger was really under cooked and really dry, she took two bites and was done. She likes the shake okay but says it is to sweet, that says a lot coming from a 12 year old that enjoys sweets. She wore one onion ring as a bracelet briefly because that was about all they were good for, so I can thank Wayback Burgers for the slight laugh of the biggest onion ring we've seen.
This was not food worth paying $55 for (before tipping the driver), I could have ordered from McDonalds and received higher quality. I tried Wayback because I've heard from many it is "So Good", it was even a topic of conversation at work about the great quality of the food. I was just disappointed. Perhaps I will be brave and try the cheapest burger I can from there in the future to see if it is just an off day today.... They do happen, but for now, my desire for a nice burger shake and onion rings has been a big let down and I feel a little ripped off.
The only Pros: The meat seemed fresh (a little to fresh in the case of my daughter's burger), the food was hot when it arrived, and the whipped...
Read moreI am a Door Dash driver. I went into pick up an order for a customer. This order included the Mac 'N' Cheese Bites. I received the order, looked in and saw that the Bites were in a tray like box (similar to that of ball park hotdogs). This box couldn't close because it had no lid. So I asked for a box to close up it and was told by the Cashier that they had no boxes for the item because it's not supposed to come that way. In a to-go order, all items should be enclosed for health reasons. Not to mention the fact that it could have fallen out of the tray and all over the inside of the primary bag. Fortunately it didn't but it could have and I refuse to get complaints for the restaurant's mistake.
Edit in response to owner’s reply: I am not misrepresenting your company. I may not be the customer BUT I am the one on the restaurant picking up the order and receiving the in-store service from your employees. Those of us doing delivery services are just as important as the customer themselves. Our complaints are just as real as any customers. Plus, I’ve been in food service myself for ten years and I know what is acceptable and what isn’t. Handing out a food container without a lid on an order that is take out is just unacceptable. Especially when it’s the Mac ‘N’ Cheese Bites in the style of container used. Both from a food safety standpoint and from the fact that it could fall out inside the bag. And too many complaints against you to DoorDash or UberEats or whoever else you partner with will get you cut off from their services. So as a representative of DoorDash, I am with in my right to ensure my customer gets their food delivered properly and safely and I can’t do that if the restaurant refuses to help me do that. And at that point, I am in my right to complain about the level of service I receive from...
Read moreCame here to eat with my husband for the first time and man have I been missing out! My MIL is part of the Foodies group on Facebook and this was one of many places they were raving about. I've been in Eugene for several years now and the places we have to eat here are insane, we truly are spoiled!
After looking over the menu we decided to do "Craft Your Own Single" my choices I picked were mushrooms, grilled onions, bacon (costs extra), Swiss cheese, and instead of mayo I chose their Wayback Gold Sauce. We also shared a large order of fries and they were the perfect amount of soft and crispy. We also got some ranch, honey mustard, and more Wayback Gold Sauce to dip our fries and burgers in. The Wayback Gold Sauce reminds me of Red Robin's campfire sauce but I like Waybacks better :)
Hands down one of the best shroom burgers I have had of all the places I've been so far. Shroom burgers are usually my go to at restaurants I've never been to because if they can make a mean burger, from my experience, the rest of the menu is amazing and Wayback takes the cake. Cooked to perfection and tastes of quality. Which quality I've noticed has an effect on my gut and after eating here I felt no discomfort. It's just that good!
I HIGHLY recommend them, they've been in Eugene a long time and I can see why. The service is great and they will answer any questions you might have. So bring your kids, family, a date, or yourself and I promise your stomach...
