Drink was good, but 10. for mostly ice, so i had to ask for light ice in next one. This is the first Mexican place that actually has a salsa for people that can not eat spicy stuff, but then their sauce over the tamales was a little spicy for me. Tamales were long, skinny and barely any meat. No I did not order just cornmeal. Thanks! Flan was good size and good, but I just don't care for the burnt sugar on top.

El Kiosco is an awesome family owned restaurant in the Albertsons shopping plaza on river road. They normally have pretty good parking. The inside is small, but super clean and homey. Their is lots of art and nice things to look at. They have a bar with 6 lottery machines. The food was great, a little expensive but the portions are HUGE. also the customer service is great, very attentive and nice.

My wife and I went for a margarita and some dinner and were happy to discover they have daily specials and it was margarita Monday. $5 for a lime margarita! The food was good and the price was fair. My tamale and enchilada were both excellent. Good service from the waitress and food came out quick.

I ordered the Lunch Special from the blackboard at the entrance. $15.99 Fish Tacos. It was the only fish item on the menu, and I was looking forward to the breaded deep fried white fish. My plate came, and the street style tacos were there, but there was no fish. The server stated, "Here you are, Fish Tacos," as the plate was deposited, looking right at the vacant fish spot. So, I knew, that they knew that there was no fish. It was not in their control. My companion ordered Chimichangas. They came as a flour wrap around over-done beef, seared in a pan, with no sauce. I tipped 20%, it was sure an expensive lettuce/cabbage beans and rice lunch. This was one of the weirdest restaurant experiences that I've ever had, the other being in West Virginia, where the locals wouldn't serve my non-local family on their special...

I don't know when this place went so far downhill... I showed up at their stayed pickup time, waited at the counter for nearly 10 minutes and still wasn't helped, had to go into the bar to find a person.

Get order home only to find it already luke-warm (I use a thermal bag and live 2 minutes away)... and was missing an tortillas for fajitas. I called the restaurant and asked them to just remake my portion because I didn't microwaved food (I could have spent much less money and gotten frozen food), and was told I'd have to pay. I wasted 50$ on mediocre food, missing part of an already cold order, and the customer service was garbage.

I seriously regret going back, they USED to be much better.

Edit to add: whole family threw away 1/2 food or more, we're going to...

This is our favorite Mexican food restaurant in Eugene! The authentic, freshly prepared food is so good! It has a mom and pop type feel, not fancy but feels like a traditional family restaurant. The menu is huge and offers several vegetarian options as well as fresh seafood. I had the fish tacos and they were awesome. My husband got the fajitas and couldn't finish the huge portion. Their chips and salsa are fresh and the chips are not too thick and they arrive at the table warm! They have several specialty margaritas and the ones we have tried have been great .This is not a fancy loud place. The energy is nice and relaxed and it would be a good place to take kids. Thumbs...
