Nothing beats visiting a historic library! The building itself is beautiful yet simple. I loved the exterior stonework. I docked a star for the book inventory. Many books are outdated, there aren't enough newer books, and no foreign language options. They are however, starting to build the Spanish collection. I understand that it's a small building, though, so there's only so much you can fit in it. 🤷‍♀️The interlibrary loan system is a good option, but still feels a bit lacking.

The building is historic & lovely. Nice employees. One showed a tour of all the library offers. They have an elevator if you need it as there are lots of steps to climb. Standing directly in front on street level, look right of the staircase and the enclave around the corner leads to the elevator. The bathroom light switch is 2 old time push buttons on the wall, never seen those before. I love that they kept it that way.

Visiting from out of town we stopped in to check out the library because it was such a neat looking building. Spent some time chatting to the librarian who gave us a little bit of information about the library, how it came to be built, and some information about the town as a whole. Very enlightening and a wonderful experience.

Such a unique library to be right downtown. Very clean and organized with computers and free WiFi. The windows allow lots of natural light and there's plenty of cool spots to plop down to read a book. Very cool garden that they do kid friendly activities in through out the year. There's some cool caves in the bluff behind the garden that they open during certain times for kids to explore! Definitely worth a stop to read the history about Andrew Carnegie and to check out the unique...

Historical library located inside a great stone building. Large staircase for entry into main building. A outstanding selection of books , magazines and papers from local area. They also hsve a fantastic DVD section. It's is cool and quiet inside the reading room. The libary has some books for sale at $1.00 a copy. The reading room downstairs also has computers for public use with a cost per copy when you print. Friendly knowledge staff who are...
