Colossal Cupcakes and Cones — Local services in Eureka Springs

Let me start by saying: I. LOVE. CAKE. (& by default, cakes’ smaller counterparts: cupcakes).

I went in, not expecting much, as the store front could use a little sprucing up. They offered only 5 flavors, to include the cupcake of the day. And I’m not generally a fan of GIANT cupcakes- I usually find them to be over sugary and just too sweet. So, needless to say, while my curiosity was piqued (because: cupcakes!), I had managed my expectations before I placed my order.

But oh my goodness did this place CHANGE my mind!!

We chose the strawberry, chocolate-oreo & the carrot cake. Each cupcake was DELICIOUS! Moist cake, not to sweet and just the right amount of frosting! And truly, I don’t know how they managed to make the Oreo frosting so fluffy and light but it was an absolutely delightful experience.

So all of this to say: we have two more days to visit. That’s two more days of cupcake-eating. We...

Grandma, mom and 3 year old stopped in for ice cream. And the smell of baked goods was overwhelmingly delicious. I am sorry we were enroute and just wanted ice cream because everything looked and smelled amazing! Be sure not to park in the lot that says $5 but there is Colossal parking on one side. It wasn’t busy when we were there on Monday evening. Outdoor seating, 2 small tables in front, a few in back. No indoor seating....

Cute little shack with easy parking (in a town known for difficult parking). I treated myself to a layered chocolate mousse brownie with home made whipped cream. The brownie was very good. I wish the mousse had been a little more chocolaty. My friend raved about the lemon cupcake. I love that this place is open until 8pm!
