Blick Art Materials — Attraction in Evanston Township

As a company Blick has solid products for solid prices, but the managers at this location make me not want to shop here. The first time I came I saw a manager I believe is called "Biz" working with a customer. She was being very short with the customer, I thought maybe she had been helping her a while and had become frustrated. I figured I should just let it go. When I asked for help Biz talked to me like it was such an inconvenience to answer my question (I paint for fun usually, but was looking for supplies for a class and was unfamiliar with the materials). She interrupts you when you're talking, which again I tried to consider that maybe she was short on time, but she does it repeatedly. I tried to return my materials as my class fell through and was met with the same attitude. I can accept that they won't return my money to a MasterCard gift card, I'm sure corporate has their reasons. I can't accept unnecessary attitude and flat out hostility. The other manager doesn't even take over to ease this hostility, just acts like it's an okay way to treat shoppers. I get it, this area can be pretty demanding, and I've worked retail nearby it's a taxing job. But everyone knows that, that's what makes it a difficult job. Reading these reviews I can tell I'm not the only one to have encountered "Biz". So my question to Blick is this: is "Biz" really worth having unhappy shoppers? I know I won't...

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!

NEVER SHOP AT THIS BLICK!!!

Last Week, I had bought an art table at a different location and wanted to return it at this store since it was closer to me. I walked in carrying the art table in the original box with no assistance, the associates would not even offer help, just stood behind the counter! Just to show how lazy and non helpful they are!

I originally paid a lot of money for the table in cash and wanted what I paid for expecting to get back the cash! However they claimed I wouldn’t get cash back but a check in the mail?????

I said What!!! I was furious because when you pay cash in a store you are originally refunded the cash!!!

I stood there arguing with one of the associates who had blue dyed hair and claimed he was the manager!!! I took my art table and got the heck out of there and went somewhere else!!! And he was rude as heck!

And where I went they assisted me and put it back on my credit card as a one time courtesy!!!! Very nice and kind people!!! Worth shopping at and bigger location!!! Compared to this dump!!

I give this store 0 stars.. Worst service I have ever had. Walked in the store asked for help and was told to go to the design center as if I knew every square inch of the store. Where is it? In the back of store. OK Where is the back of the store. I find it. I order 2 copies of a greeting card. Just the front of it. One week I was told. Pre paid. Called one week later not done and won't be done for 3 weeks. Was told if I want it faster service take it someplace else. I was so disappointed as this was a birthday gift. That I now will not have for my friend. I called the manager.I became so you're aggravated because now we're have to do the whole story again. I have to tell my name and spell it and just go another 20 minutes into that whole thing again after I've explain myself two times.i expect good service and to be told the truth.The staff clearly is not efficient. I will now be driving 45 minutes to go pick up my money and my card. Horrific customer service buy every single person I talk to including the manager.
