We had my son’s birthday party at Sky Zone on a Monday and appreciated how clean and quiet the facility was. This is a nice change of pace from the typical weekend chaos.
That said, the experience in the party room left a lot to be desired. While the room was clean, it was small, cramped, and very hot. The biggest issue, though, was with the pizza. What looked like an extra cheesy pepperoni pizza turned out to be completely undercooked dough. One of the adults noticed mid-bite, and now I have to reach out to parents to let them know their children may have eaten raw pizza — which is not only gross, but also unsafe.
To make things more frustrating, the pizza was dropped off without any serving utensils or help from staff. I had to serve it to the kids with my bare hands, and by the time my wife asked for a knife and someone brought one, most of the kids had already been served. When it came time for cake, I had to wipe off the same knife to use again and track someone down to get a lighter.
Sky Zone advertises that they “take care of all the hassle with planning birthday parties so you and your kids can focus on having fun,” but that wasn’t our experience. At other kid-friendly venues like Altitude, and Ignite, I’ve had staff in the room helping serve pizza and cake, ensuring things run smoothly. Here, I felt like I was managing the entire party myself. Had I known, I would have brought my own supplies just to avoid the hassle.

Read moreThis is the worst experience I have ever had with a company. I decided that I would purchase a membership for my godkids to enjoy for the month since the membership was not much more than what I was paying for a day. I was always planning on only having it for the one month, maybe at the most two. I then attempted to cancel it online, like the company prefers, however my account was not showing that it was connected to any membership so I could not. I then called the company directly. I have called every month for 5 months. Each time I was ensured by someone that it was cancelled. Last month I asked to speak directly with a manager & he informed me that the number connected to the account was not mine which is why I was having issues & I was given a number to text to cancel the membership after he changed the number attached to the account. He also said that I could call back & speak to the manager who handles these things about a possible refund. I text the number, receive a CONFIRMATION TEXT stating that it has in fact been cancelled, but despite this I just was charged AGAIN! I have been extremely patient & kind, but this is honestly truly just theft at this point. The membership for 4 people is $85 a month. Which means I have lost $425 on a membership that I have not wanted! I also have tried to call numerous times, but not only have I received no answer, but the voicemail won’t allow me to leave one! NEVER EVER WILL I EVER BUY A MEMBERSHIP AGAIN OR RECOMMEND...

My issue was policy. We brought our own jumping socks, but because they weren't atomic orange Sky Zone socks (we usually go to Altitude), we had to buy more pairs.
I purposefully gave my brother the jump socks in front the dude at the register, Jack, to prove that we weren't lying about having our own jump socks. He said it was policy that they had to be the atomic orange ones. I know he probably gets paid an abysmal amount of money an hour, but him showing 0 empathy nor understanding really made me mad. The socks are $2.50 a pair, so that's not an issue. It's the principle.
Call me a Karen, but I did wind up talking to the manager, Robin, about it. I felt like we were getting punished for trying to be honest. She was very calm and kind and let us know that it's a liability issue to use anyone else's socks. I know they're all the same and the company just wants money, but I did appreciate her patience with me.
Anyway. Bring bright orange socks if you're going to bounce here. I...
