VENDOR REVIEW; As a customer I would give artem 5 stars, the people who own it and work there are really nice and they're artists themselves! the location is great and it's a cute shop.
From an artist's standpoint however.. I would probably only give it 2 or 3 stars, They charge a monthly fee for showcasing work and in addition to that they take a percentage of sales. This is a normal gallery business practice just to be transparent. When I entered into my 3 month contract I had assumed that it would help advertise my artwork and get my name out there after scrolling through their internet presence and instagram feed seeing they had posted about featured artists, but this was unfortunately not the case. When you're entering into your contract you are getting just the little wall in the store, No real added promotion or advertisement of your work. There is a clear bias towards certain artists and their work being prominently featured and focused on vs others being almost ignored. $125 a month with a 3 month minimum (so $375) is not worth the little side wall that nobody will really see. I would say if you're an artist with money to spare you should give it a try but if you're not really well known and are looking to start out this is not the right place. I've added pictures as examples for how they prominently feature certain artists and almost avoid others, I wish I could add video here. (my work is the wall with the gold frame flowers, the gold frame pink background painting, really you just see slivers of it around) My experience showing here was honestly really disappointing and I don't really think it was worth what I had paid which really sucks, some artists get huge attention and...
