Horrible customer service. Despite their price match policy they refused to price match Walmart and lost over $1000 in sales because I was buying a washing machine as well. They first tried to say the item was not shipped and sold by Walmart so when I open up the Walmart app and showed them they studied it for about a couple minutes and then came up with another excuse to not price match. It was CLEARLY shipped and sold by Walmart. This is the second time this has happened despite me having a paid membership at Best Buy. I would’ve had to been on drugs to buy the item from them at that point when was less than half the price at Walmart! I can see why stores are closing! Good chance this one will end up closing too, if they can’t have any better customer service than that. Absolutely ridiculous! The checkout employee showed the guy who has to approve it, and THAT guy had his face up to the phone trying to find ANY reason to not price match. Then the cherry on the cake was when I tried to call the store to speak to a manger to let them know the way customers are being treated and have all their phone calls routed to go overseas. Even when you call the local store! That was the final straw for me. I’ve literally spent tend of thousands over the last couple decades at Best Buy but they have lost my business permanently over this. Attached is a photo of the item information they refused to price match. Lost $1k in sales over a $30 video game. Not real bright!! And to think they were trying to con me into buying a $180 a year membership. What a freaking scam!

I went in here to find an external DVD drive. The one that was shown to me, and I took up front to buy was priced much more than what the price said as to where it was sitting. It was sitting in the wrong spot. The associate scanned the barcode and found that there were seven in stock, so he went in the back to look. He came out and said they were not back there, so he asked another co-worker, who asked another co-worker, and we then had about five workers, myself and I think a random customer on a scavenger hunt around the store the store looking for this drive I really needed. I was in a bit of a hurry, but I really needed it as I needed to make a video for my Aunt's Funeral of home video's we had on VHS that were burned onto DVD's and my desktop just wasn't cooperating and I just had to get this done. I can't thank these boys enough for the time they took hunting this down, the patience they had, and I did not go into detail with them why I needed it so badly, so they looked and found it because they were just great employees, not because they knew or felt bad for me or my situation. I went in on 07/07/2023.

THREE DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES POSTED HERE:

MAY 2023: I was recently asked to videotape an hour-long presentation for a friend and save it to a flash drive. This isn't as easy as one would think, but with the help of AIDAN at Best Buy, in less than 15 minutes, he was able to make sure my iPhone 11 and its settings and iCloud storage would handle the task. AIDAN was very PROFESSIONAL and HELPFUL! He LISTENED to my needs and concerns, gave me some GREAT ADVICE, and made sure I was COMPLETELY SATISIFIED with the outcome! I also had a friend wanting to convert some old digital video cassettes of her son to a format she could view now. Once again, AIDAN knew exactly what I needed to share with her and not only advised me about some Google websites but took the time to look into one of them while I was there! This young man has PEOPLE SKILLS and a BRIGHT FUTURE ahead of him! AIDAN is a KEEPER!!! :)

JANUARY 2023: We were interested in a "small" TV for our exercise room, and RALPHIE was VERY PROFFESIONAL, THOROUGH, and KNOWLEDGEABLE when answering our questions! He made sure we got what we NEEDED and WANTED and not in just making a sale! RAPLHIE was very PATIENT and POLITE and GENUINELY CARED that we were satisfied with our purchase! Then, a few days later, I returned to the store to see about adding an external speaker to this TV as I didn't want to have it turned way up over the treadmill sound every day. JOSEPH greeted me PROMPTLY and was also VERY PROFESSIONAL, THOROUGH, and KNOWLEDGEALBE re an external speaker set up for this TV's needs. JOSEPH researched the BEST BUY website and found several options for me to consider! JOSEPH, like RALPHIE, was never pushy, egotistical, nor bored with my quest. Just the opposite! BOTH of these young men were CARING and TRULY had the CUSTOMER'S COMPLETE SATISFACTION in mind! Both RALPHIE and JOSEPH are KEEPERS!!! =)

PS - I'm still using the laptop discussed in the following review FOUR YEARS LATER with absolutely NO PROBLEMS! =)

APRIL 2019: I recently made an error in purchasing a laptop which did not actually suit my needs. ( I bought it when I was frustrated with my old laptop and did not do my HW on it! =( ) I took it into the Evansville east side Best Buy and asked what my options were. JOSH, a sales consultant, showed me some other choices. After I chose one, he and his manager, NOAH, made it possible for me to make a very easy exchange so I could "have what I need!" (And, YES, I had already researched that one!) When I went to the Customer Service counter to make that exchange, not knowing I would be actually doing that at that time, I told them I needed to save some material transferred to my external hard drive which I'd left at home (because I didn't think this would be so very easy). I came home and started transferring data which took longer than I wanted! I drove back to the store where the CS employee, GARRETT, was of tremendous help in speeding up that transfer process! I did not mention the brands of laptops as that is not the point of this review but rather JOSH, NOAH, and GARRETT are! =) FYI - I am so very pleased with the exchange and the laptop I now have! THANK YOU, JOSH, NOAH, and GARRETT for not just doing your jobs but for doing them...

What a frigging nightmare experience. I went to buy my wife an HP laptop they advertised on sale. The guy was quick to come over and help me find what I was looking for, as i had it pulled up on my phone.

It was nice they had it on display to actually look at. Really big screen, and plenty of keyboard space. I really like this HP.

We have 2 HP home PC's, and have always had great luck with the dependability of HP.

Anyway, I grabbed the laptop and was headed to the front. Guy stopped me, no idea his name, as there was a total of 3 guys working on this sale.

It has been at least a month since this purchase was made, so I will put this in as best as I can remember.

Best Buy also sent me a survey to fill out about my HP laptop purchase, so I filled it out and sent it in. Odd, they asked of a survey, and I sent them my disappointed, frustrating experience, and I never heard a peep out of the Best Buy survey department.

So, since they do not want to reply about the issue, I will make it public.

The first time the laptop was rung up, it was all going fine. The guy finally noticed i had $90 in Best Buy points I could use. He tried to add them to the sale, but could not, so they canceled that sale.

I don't exactly remember the issue on the second ring up, as it has been too long. But, by this time, I am getting a bit frustrated.

The third time around, he finally got the points on, and said I could use my Best Buy credit card and get 0% interest for 12 months since it was over $300.

Sure, sounds great! I asked him if we use the $90 in reward points, will it still qualify, because we would be financing less than $300.

He said yes, so cool, let's do it. Once he got it rung up, I am looking at the credit card terminal, and it does not say anything about the 12 months interest free financing.

Obviously, since it fell under the $300 mark, it no longer qualified. So now, I am really starting to lose my patience. I told him I would have just put it on my other credit card I have, as i am still on my 18 months no interest.

So once again we are refunding the sale and I am so pissed off, but I did keep my cool, I was ready to walk out with no laptop. However, my wife is still studying to be a nurse, so I thought that was more important.

So we ring it up one final time, and now my $90 in points won't be refunded for about 2 weeks! Seriously??

So I must have been there for an hour, and my back was killing me, as I have spinal issues, and standing is something I can not do much of.

So, the final ring up went on my zero interest credit card, and I was not able to use my $90 Best Buy points on the purchase. Those points was the reason I went to Best Buy to start with.

I would not be putting this negative review up if the Best Buy Corporate would have replied to my survey. That just proves to me that they want to make you feel as if they care by sending the survey, and my guess is, they never read them.

So I will never fill out another survey, and just come and make a public post here.

Also, if you have Reward Points, just remember if you use them, and then get a refund, your points will be gone for...

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Returned a TV that was given to me by by my girlfriend as an early Christmas present, thought it would be easy, I was severely mistaken. First off, unbeknownst to me, she was going to have it delivered to her house, to suprise me on Christmas, when she checked out online, delivery wasn't allowed. She tried to choose this option because she has a compromised immune system, figured it would be the safest option, but delivery was not allowed. She went to the store Tuesday to pick up via curbside, when she checked in, she was notified she would have to come in. She then enlisted my help to pickup Wednesday, so she wouldn't have to come into the store. When we arrived, she checked in, and was notified that we'd have to come in. What's the point of having curbside, if you have to come in? So we went in, picked up the TV, handled it gently, laying it flat, screen side up in the back of my Expedition that had rear seats folded flat. Enlisted the help of my brother to get it in my place. We were very delicate with the TV. Tonight, Thursday December 10th, I enlisted my brother's help again to get the TV out of box, and on the entertainment center. I've always been gentle with every TV I've purchased. Opened the top of box, and found the instructions for removal. Followed instructions for removal, and as soon as we got it out of the box, you can see the screen is shattered. Immediately called to figure out what to do, no one answered, just got directed to on hold after several prompts.. Packed it up, and started to the store while still on hold. No one picked up in the 20 minutes to get to the store. Figured this would be a simple swap. Nope. Went to customer service, was directed to go back to the door and someone will help get the TV out of the vehicle. Finally the guy handling the door asked if he could help me. When I told him what I needed, I was told to pull to the curb. Said that's where I'm at. He said no, pull to the curb rudely. Directed him to my vehicle which was at the curb. We brought the TV in, it was examined by one guy, then another, then a third. That's when I was asked, "did you drop the TV?" No, I didn't drop the TV. Then I was asked, "did you kick the TV?" Why would I kick my new TV. The tone was insulting, and absolutely ridiculous. I just wanted to swap the TV, but they didn't have one in stock. They said they wouldn't allow me to pick up the next one, they would deliver it. Remember, when my girlfriend ordered my suprise Christmas present originally, and delivery wasn't allowed? I thought about maybe selecting a different brand, but after being so completely offended, I decided otherwise. She was eventually refunded her money, which she'll spend elsewhere. Tried calling to speak to someone at the store after this absolutely horrible experience, but could never get through. Called corporate, who started a customer complaint ticket. Been a customer for decades, never had to return anything. First time returning something, and it was absolutely a horribly,...
