I took two 5th graders who enjoy some art. They spent lots of time in the hands on science area. A couple of exhibits were down from abuse, but the area is a fun interactive spot. Then Evansville area history area showed how early residents lived. Also a nice exhibit of WW2 production by Evansville companies by local folks. They enjoyed the free film shown in the Omnimax style theater. This one was called Sunstruck. The art exhibit was a fun distraction for 15 mins. Then finally we absorbed the rail and transportation building. This is a low cost and very good local museum. Take your young adults and stretch their minds foe a few hours.

Serious staffing concerns. I called three times through out the day over 5 hours. No one answer but I got a nice message about checking hours online. I did, I added the photo below. When I get there even though it says open online and there is a schedule for the planetarium and they don’t answer the phone so it’s the only way to check. It’s closed on a Saturday afternoon for a private event. Unacceptable.

We came here to attend Frankenstein's Chemistry Lab, a free event, and poked around the rest of the museum. The science room was fun, especially the shadow room, but I wouldn't have paid full price for it. The art and history areas were interesting but not engaging for the kids.

The Evansville Museum is a wonderful place for everyone of all ages! (Although it could be overwhelming for kids under 2) Our family goes at least twice a year! We really like walking the grounds outside as well, enjoying the riverfront view and the art pieces along the campus. It has so many exhibits and we look forward to...
