If I could give no stars I would East Location We waited 1 hr for waitress to take our order 1hr for cook to arrive. The waitress dumped soup on my friends hand and burnt her and didnt even apologize, cook asked her how she wanted her steak she said well done cause shes pregnant, it was dripping blood, the waitress took her food without giving her any other options when all she had eaten was the chicken from it which made it still a full plate off rice and veggies, then said they could give 10% off! Ha laughable $22 plate! We were celebrating mine and another friends birthdays. The waitress was downright rude because we complained about her non existent customer service skills and the fact she was given our table which was quoting her words "A table not in her section" so what! If you hadn't been so horrendous you would have gotten all of your gratuity tips plus at least $40-$50 in cash tips! I am a Manager myself and if ever one of my employees disrespected our customers I would pull them to the back talk to them about how their attitude, even if the customer isn't very nice is not allowed. Even if you've got to fake it every single time you put on that smile and you do your job. Those customers are the ones paying you. Your check comes from them. You wanted the job applied for it and got it you wanted to be here. You must do the job you asked and applied for that you are paid to do. The incompetent manager couldn't even do anything right our waitress, the manager, 2 hostess, and multiple other waitresses couldn't even get our tickets right! At least 6 different times they brought me a jacked up ticket! There were 8 in our party and the other 2 they sat with us but each were separated in 2 people per ticket and they were honestly simple tickets I can still quote them including what the people we didnt know got! Read moreOur group of 8 had a reservation at 6pm on a weeknight. We had a show across the street at 7:30. We were seated right away. The restaurant was about 3/4 full with several empty tables. After 15 minutes the waitress finally came to the table to take our drink order. No big deal we were not in a hurry at the time and by then we all knew what we wanted so we placed our drink and food order. Everyone ordered rolls. I ordered a Dogfish Head IPA to drink which was posted as their special. 15 minutes later the girl arrives with our drinks and informs me that they are out of the beer I ordered. I asked what other microbrews they had and she informs me that Dogfish Head is the only Carson's beer they have. Hmmm Carson's here in Evansville makes Dogfish head?? So finally everyone gets drinks but no waters that we asked her to bring 2 different times. We wait for another 30 minutes without seeing our waitress once. Now it is 7:00 and I find her and ask about our food to which she replies "oh it will probably be a while we are busy right now". No apology, no warning ever. I told her our situation and that we had somewhere to be at 7:30 and she gave me a rude comment about sometimes restaurants get busy and walked off. She comes back 5 minutes later and throws our checks for our drinks on the table and walks off. I'm guessing they don't want us here anymore?? We find a manager and explain to him what is going on and he says he will have our food out right away. We tell him we are leaving at 7:15 and he assures it will be out by then. At 7:13 he comes to our table and says it will be out in 3 minutes. At 7:20 our food was still not out so we got up and left after we paid our bill for our drinks that automatically included gratuity!! Horrible experience. We entered and found there was not a host/hostess at the entrance. We waited fro about 5 minutes for someone to come to greet us. We were asked how many and told the hostess: "two". We were told it would be 5-10 mins and went to sit in the waiting area. After about 15-20 minutes I noticed a large group come in and were immediately taken to seats. I went and waited at the host station and the hostess came back and asked me again "how many?" At this point I am certain that she forgot about us as well as a family of four waiting before us in the waiting area.
We were taken to a table that was already full, and then re-seated at an adjacent empty table. Also seated with us was the family of four. Our drink and sushi orders were taken and did not receive drinks until after the chef started cooking and sushi until the chef started plating. Upon receiving our drinks, one person's drink was completely wrong and they did not include a lemon with my wife's water as requested.
The chef was pretty good. Good tricks and conversational. Food cooked by the chef was well cooked. However, food from the kitchen was not. Our sushi was okay, but definitely not what it should have been. Also, the family of four ordered a bento box and from what I could gather, the dessert portion of it had a sizable hair ball in it (and no it was not a single strand).
In short the food ranged from okay to pretty good. The service was just plain bad. We will not return to...
