Hadi Shrine Temple — Local services in Evansville

My husband and I and two friends who drove all the way from Hawesville, KY had dinner at the Shrine last evening. It was the first Friday of the month so I assumed (mistake) it was Prime Rib Friday, as usual. The person who took my reservation when I CALLED failed to tell me it WASN'T a Prime Rib Friday when I made my reservations for four. I talked to a lady in the buffet line and the same thing happened to her so the intept person taking phone reservations was not informing we clueless people that THIS first Friday was not a PR Friday. I don't bother checking the website menu because it is hardly ever up to date. We paid $15.95 ea. for what I would consider one of the worst buffets ever. The kabobs were dry, and the only other meat offered was very thin sliced pork....and no gravy to go with it. The potato "spurts" with cheese on top were cold and hard. The corn on the cob looked dry and burned so I didn't even bother with it. Other veggies were potatoes on a skewer or beans....yep, good old beans for a $16 dollar meal! A couple of my friends have bragged about your buffet lunches and they sure appear (by the menu) and sound (according to them) like a MUCH better meal for a lower price. Our experiences to date with the Red Fez have been the Prime Rib buffets and even those have diminished in quality in the past three years. I feel I "owe" my friends a dinner because I had them drive all the way from KY only to be disappointed....disappointed that it wasn't a Prime Rib buffet and that it was a lousy buffet otherwise. We have eaten our last meal at the Shrine. When we want good Prime Rib we will take our business to another well reputed restaurant in Evansville...

We rented the 2nd floor ballroom out for our wedding and this venue was amazing! I can't say enough good things about the venue and their staff services. Amy was extremely helpful and professional and really made our wedding less stressful. She was very communicative and friendly. All the staff at the Shrine were friendly as well. I would highly recommend using them to anyone looking into a wedding venue. You do not have to be a member to rent this venue and the prices are extremely reasonable. All areas were well maintained and very nice. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding went smoothly and all of our guests said the venue...

Went to glow bingo 6/21.

Now, I’m a perosn who raises biracial children (black & white mixed) so that type of setting is something I’m use to and very comfortable in. This experience was entirely different. So many different types of looks I received the whispering etc. it was all so real in that moment. I paid a total of $90 just for bingo. Dinner was $50 ( not included in the $90) I was so uncomfortable after the second bingo. We gave our bingo cards and raffle tickets away ($15 not included with the bingo) and left. You couldn’t pay me to support another event they have. The worst experience I’ve ever had...
